Ok. Someone told me if you get a sit and stand stroller that if you use an infant car carrier for the newborn, there isn't room for the older child to sit. Is that true? What brand stroller of this kind is the better one? It looks like some of them have the "sit" part lower to the ground than others. ? thanks

We have the BabyTrend one (target) and it came with a piece that you can attach so that you can use the carrier. My youngest was too big for the carrier by thte time we gott he stroller, but I know people that have used it (both the baby trend one and the joovy one) and have been very happy.

We used the Baby Trend with a baby carrier on the front, and our daughter was able to sit just fine on the 'jump seat'.

We have the Baby Trend and use it for our 4month old and 3 yr old. She has plenty of room to sit when we use the car seat. We have been very happy with it.

S.,

We just purchased the Joovy Caboose (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2668175) stroller. The infant carrier fit just fine and it was an ok stroller, but there wasn't much room for our older son to actually sit down with the infant carrier attached. And, if he was standing on it, he wanted "off" or "down" to run around instead.

So, we returned it.

I personally love the Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem stroller. It is new so it doesn't have many reviews but from what I have seen most are very good. I am planning on buying this stoller when I have my second child. Here is a link (you may have to C&P):

I have the Joovy, true, when the infant seat is in place there is not much room for the older one, but my dd didn't mind at all, she still loved it. If it was a short trip, I used the snap and go with the infant seat and either carried or let dd walk. Before long I was able to put my ds in the stroller without the infant carrier and dd had more room. DD was/is older than your first, so I never buckled her in, I let her get in and out as she wished, she would switch from standing and sitting, if I buckled her she was uncomfortable. We use it all the time. I just wish the basket underneath was bigger and more easily accessible, I never use it.

We have been thrilled with the Joovy Caboose. As long as the seat is in the complete upright position with the infant carseat, my three-year-old has plenty of room to sit. The stroller is a little heavy, but it has served our purpose perfectly.
