Joovy Caboose Vs. Peg Perego Pliko P3

I have a son who is 3 1/2 and a daughter who is almost 5 months. I am looking for a new stroller to accommodate both of them. My son is at the age where he prefers to run around and walk by himself, so I don't think we need a double stroller. But I do think sometimes he would like to ride for a little bit, especially if we're planning on going to an amusement park in the next few months. The Joovy Caboose and Pliko P3 are what I have narrowed it down to. I like that the Pliko has a footboard in the back where he can stand and ride. The Caboose, though, also gives the option of sitting. I was wondering what other moms' experience were with these 2 strollers. Is the Caboose bulky and hard to manage? Do I really need a seat for my 3 year old? If you have either of these strollers, what have you liked/disliked about it? Is there any other stroller you would recommend?
Thanks!

I love our Joovy Caboose. My 4 year-old can walk or ride as needed and because of the jumpseat I can even strap her in if need be.

I have the joovy caboose...we used ours alot. If you think you will do long outings like the zoo and disney where your son might get tired and want to sit then the joovy is a good option. Right start also make a sit and stand that is good and a little cheaper. I used mine alot but I also needed just a single stroller for younger child. we have the ultra...it is not heavy but it is long. I would go to babyrus and take it out to car to see how it fits. I think they only have the normal one not the ultra but the main difference is the weight not the size. we ordered ours from strollers.com and they had a better price than amazon.

I have Plinko P3 for my son and I really like. My favorite thing about it is how soft and cushy the inside of the stroller is. I put my son right in it when he was a month old. One of the things that drew me to the stroller was the foot-boards on the back because we spend a lot of time with older cousins (3-4yrs) and I knew that eventually my husband and I would have another child. I have not been very impressed by the foot-boards though. The child standing on the back really has got to hold on tight and use a lot of arm strenght because the stroller has a bit of a slant back. It's good for short rides and a little break, but if your son is looking for a rest I would go with the Caboos. My sister-in-law has one for her 3 kids...she can actually fit two on the back seat if she needs to and she really enjoys it.

I hope that is of some help. Good luck!

I have a 3.5yo daughter and a 6 month old daughter. We use the joovy caboose ultralite, and we love it. I bought mine before we had our second daughter, I loved the attachment for the infant carrier in the joovy. I cannot tell you how great this stroller truly is, it is very light, I have no problem throwing into the back of my SUV. Both of our girls love it. I think it is short enough that when my three year old decides to walk I don't feel like I am pushing a bus, it turns nicely. The under storage is plenty large for my diaper bag or a backpack. We take this stroller to Sea World with us all the time and love it. The shade canopy really covers up the baby because it is huge, there is also a little extender in the canopy to go backwards and cover the older child if they want to sit a rest. My older daughter loves to stand on the back, but also uses the seat when she gets tired. I cannot say enough about how great the joovy has worked out for our family!

I have the Joovy Caboose & is working out great. I have a 5 1/2 yr old & an 18 mo old. When she stands, she's on the 'inside' of the stroller, in front of where you push so I really don't worry about her falling. When the baby is sleeping & the front seat is fully reclined, there isn't a lot of room for my daughter to sit in the back, but she still manages just fine.

It's worked out really great.

We have the Joovy Caboose and LOVE IT! I have a 51/2 year old and a 21 month old. It works great, is super light weight easy to fold up flat and has a nice big canopy. There are 2 styles of the joovy caboose so look for both of them. The one I have is a little more expensive but well worth the little extra. The more expensive one has a larger canopy that covers both seats and is really light weight, you can lift it with 1 finger!!! The basket underneath is really large too. I have used this stroller since my daughter was born and it holds up really well.

Hello There,

I just thought I would let you know I have a 4 yr old & a 7 mos old. I have the Sit n Stand stroller and it works out great. My 4 yr old son either wants to stand while I push or sit and talk to his baby sister which faces him & you. There are also times he wants to run around but eventually gets tired and hitches a ride on the stroller.

It works out perfectly. It has plenty of room for your baggage and cup holders and shade. You should check it out either at Target or Babies R Us. Pretty much anywhere has them. This would be perfect for you. You will love it. I do ! Good luck mama :)
