Seeling Info on Double Joggers

Hi ladies, I always see such great advice, so now here's my question. I am looking for a double jogger, not a stroller. I love my single one by In-Step, and I know they also make a double jogger, but I wanted some input first. I have a 2 1/2 year old and a three month old. I want it light enough to get in and out of the car. I was wondering about some models that can be used with an attachment for a car seat on one side. I had found a few, but soooo expensive, I can not spend $600 plus on one of these. I would prefer the $200 range or less! I also want to know your likes/dislikes of your double jogger. Oh, and I have to have a swivel front wheel, that's a must. I am anxious to get out walking with both of my kids, and right now I can't do that without help. Thanks for your help with this.

What can I do next?

Hi R.,
I unfortunately don't have great advice for you on this, but I do have an In-Step double jogger for sale on Craig's List right now. I don't think it has a swivel front wheel (but I can check tonight - shows how much I used it), but I'm only asking $100. The location is Grosse Pointe, and I just listed it a couple days ago. If you, or any other readers, are interested, please check out Craig's List, or email me directly at ____@____.com

The problem is you get what you pay for. The $600 Bob double jogging stroller is amazing. We just got it after months of heming and hawing. We decided rather than get something we hate just save up and get it.

It is amazing. I could not ask for a better jogger. I did a lot of reviewing and the Bob has the best reviews. I found some on Ebay, but you will still pay about $500. Craigs list really did not have that good of a selection. Mom 2 mom sales are great but you have to be the first person in line to get the jogger everyone else is after.
Good luck.

I go to Mom-to-Mom sales and I see them there sometimes. I'll bet if you really watch the sales, you will find someone selling one for cheap. Go to mom2momlist.com and you can see upcoming sales. My cousin was looking for a double stroller. She found a $500-$600 stroller at a mom-to-mom sale for $75. Not bad!

Good luck,
L.

I love our instep double joggin stroller! We used it all of the time when our boys were litte. It is great. We got our from Babybungalow.com
At the time it was $189 with free shipping. I have referred many friends to that site for the same thing. I actually sort of sold at least 6 or more; 6 that I know of for sure anyway. We have had ours for almost 4 years and it still works great.

Are you looking to actually job with the stroller, or are you looking for an AT stroller with air tires? If you are going to job you really want something with a fixed front wheel (or at least the option to lock), a hand brake and a wrist strap - both important safety features.
Like one of the PP's said, you definitely get what you pay for. The more expensive models like Baby Jogger, BOB, Valco, Mountain Buggy have nicer fabrics, much better handling, better sun shades, etc.

I am a local (Royal Oak) Mom and I also own a baby store - www.babyonthegostore.com, send me a DM with any questions - I would love to be able to help you out. We have some 2008 Baby Joggers left at a pretty good price, plus we also offer a 10% discount to Mamasource members with the coupon code "mamasource10".
