Seeking Spring Break Activities Week of 3-15 - Plano,TX
I have family coming with 5,3, and 1 year old boys. Last year we took them to the aquarium, stockyards, and a different playground every day. I'm looking for special events
in the Plano/Dallas area. Anyone know of web sites that provide info? Thanks in advance.

Hi
You should go to the Dallas Arboretum. They are going to have storybook playhouses for the kids to go through starting this weekend. I always take my 3 year old grandson there and he has a great time....and I get to see the beautiful gardens!!

Try Sharkarosa Ranch www.sharkarosa.com. It is a wildlife ranch near lake Ray Roberts - near Denton. My kids ages 4 and 9 had a great time. It is also very cheap! They are only open Sat and then on March 19 and 20 during spring break.

www.gocitykids.com is a great web site that list activities going on around town each day. It's also nationwide, so if you ever travel to major cities you can look to see what kid activities are going on there.

I would like to suggest the Frank Buck Zoo, for a day trip:) It is a bit far from Plano for sure, but can make for a great day trip. It is quite inexpensive, and with young kids, we find it better than a big zoo. Honestly, I just cant say enough about it. You can let the kids walk for the most part, and pack a picnic lunch to eat while you watch the zebras and giraffes. They also have an nice wooden play park, and a fun little train ride. It is in Gainsville, which is on the way to an outlet mall, home of the Fried Pie Co (yummo) and sometimes for a fun meal, we head to Babe's in Sanger on the way home. I guess I better figure out what we will be doing too:) Have fun ~A.~

Amazing Jakes is an indoor food/games area for kids in Plano. It is a little pricey, but fun! There is also a place called Celebration Park in Allen off of E. Exchange Pkwy and Angel (go right). The Natatorium is a indoor swimming place for kids and its off of E. Exhange a few blocks down. Hope you all have fun!
