So What Happened?

THANK YOU all so much - this is my first baby and she is 3 weeks early and everything makes me panic with her so a good pediatrician is so important to me. I really appreciate all the advice and responses! I have an appt. with Dr. Covin tomorrow, I'm looking forward to it!

i can vouch for him also................my son (8yrs) has been
through 3 doctors with Kiaser as the prior two retired.
Chris Covin is the best by far.

Seems like the doctor recommended is excellent based on the feedback. If he is not taking new patients, Dr. Lande at Martinez has been my son's pediatrician for 6 years and we are very satisfied with him after going through 2 previous ones. My one year old now goes to him also. He is very responsive, which is important, and he has a very reliable nurse practicioner that will get back to you if he cannot. He had 2 children of his own, so has experienced a lot of the things that I go through with my two. He is not medicine crazy also, which was important to us.

We also will slip one or the other in on an appointment if something is up with them during that time, and he does not mind squeezing the other one in.

My two cents.

J.,
Ask the physicians at the hospital and go to the Kaiser Website, it will tell you who is taking new patients and all about the physician. I don't think Dr Covin is accepting new patients.

We really like Chris Covin. He's very down to earth, gives us good information, and most of all, he's really great with the kids. My kids really like him, even the littlest one. Good luck to you and your new little treasure!

Hi J.,

Dr. Covin is a great doctor! He is the bomb!!! He not only is like a big teddy bear but he is up to date on latest research, is open to alternative medicine if you choose those options, is patient and has a great sense of humor. All four of the moms from my Kaiser new mom's group ended up with him (just turned out that way) and we all feel the same way.

As a new mom with a baby with some concerns I was so, so anxious and he helped relieve so many worries. He is wonderful and our daughter likes him too!

And, he is the Chief of Pediatrics there. He colleges speak great of him as well.

Good luck,
A.

Congratulations! What a joy.
My children had Dr. Rosie Lim in Martinez Kaiser in Pediatrics as their doctor. She is easy to talk to and she listens to you. Also she gets back to you if you have questions and call her. I hadn't used her when my kids were babies, but we liked her alot as a child and teen Dr. Both my children just turned 18 and had to move onto Adult medicine doctors and were upset about that.
