I have a 3 and a half year old, and I live in the far north dallas area. I am looking for a pediatrician who is open to an alternative schedule of vaccines. I am willing to travel, but would prefer a practice not far away-north dallas, richardson, plano. Any good suggestions?

Try Dr Robert Sheilds in Plano. He is located on Parker between Custer and Indepence right by El Norte grill. He is an osteopathic doctor and had a great bedside manner. Not sure about what or if he takes any insurance. My husband and I used to be patients before we changed insurance carriers. Good Luck!

I just went through this. I interviewed probably 10 pediatricians. I live in Richardson, but go all the way to Raintree Pediatrics in Allen. Let me tell you it is SO worth it! I see Sabrina, the NP. She is amazing and is so understanding of my alternate schedule. Look into them...like I said, it is worth the drive. They have a meet the doctor night every so often where you can meet both doctors, the NP and the PA.

Good luck! Let us know what you found.

If you want to come to Dallas, Dr Tammi Kennedy or Dr Cristina Deuber. ###-###-#### They are in the NW Hwy/Preston area.

Dr. Daryl Curry is awesome! He is at Methodist Hospital in downtown Dallas. Its a drive, but he is worth it. We live in Colleyville and drive all the way for him. We chose not to vaccinate our 10 month old and he didn't even give us a hard time about it. He said it is up to the parents and not the doctor. I thought that was pretty impressive. He also takes time with you, and is a good listener. Good luck!
