Seeking Moms' Group in Pomona/Claremont Area

Hi there - I am a relatively new mom (5 month old baby and 3 elementary school age stepchildren) and most of my friends are childless. How do I go about finding other moms, especially those with babies? My family all lives out of state, so my husband and I are mostly on our own with our kids. Does anyone know of any groups I could check out? Thank you!

What can I do next?

Hello S.,

Please, Please, Please consider Mom's Club!! The registration fee is $25 for the whole year for you and all of your kids. Once you join, you will be placed in a playgroup with your age child. They have playgroups once a week, field trips as a large group once a month and they even have a Mom's Night out once a month... so get your husband ready for you to have a little girl time too!

This is a support group for you and a lot of fun and learning for your little ones. I was in this club for 5 years until mine got into Kindergarten. You won't regret it....

Have fun getting to know your community!
M.

Go to www.momsclub.org to find the listing for your local MOMS club. Claremont, La Verne, and San Dimas all have chapters. You need to join the club in the city that you live in. Pomona doesn't have its own chapter so you can join any local one if you live in that city.

There's a Gymboree in Upland - you could sign your little one up and meet some other mommies. Also - go to the City of Claremont or City of Pomona - either online or in person - and get their recreational guide. You'll find all sorts of activities and classes to sign up for. I know my city (Cucamonga) offers mommy&me classes, as well as library activities and even (free) walking groups and (free) park activities to meet people. (Claremont - http://www.ci.claremont.ca.us/ps.leisurerecreation.cfm?ID...) (Pomona - http://www.ci.pomona.ca.us/city_departments/community_ser...) Good luck and God Bless.
