Seeking Moms Group in Oakland County Area

My name is M. and I'm part of a moms group in Northern Oakland County called Lakes Area Moms (LAMs). While the group doesn't have any set guidelines on things like immnizations and parenting methods we have a wide variety of women with a wide variety of beliefs and parenting methods.

Where in Oakland County?

Hi R.,

I'm D., and I started the group Mara mentioned (thanks, Mara!). We're a free group for moms in the Lakes Area of Oakland County (Wixom, Walled Lake, Commerce, West Bloomfield, Novi, Milford, Waterford, Highland, White Lake, Lyon Twp). We meet at least once weekly for a playdate, we offer weekly walks [with or without your child(ren)], we offer advice and support to each other on the message board and links section, and we enjoy chatting on line.

Our moms come from a wide variety of backgrounds and perspectives. The children range from newborns (and some on the way) up to high school age (although they don't attend playdates--LOL).

We welcome all moms in our area. If you are interested and if you're in our part of Oakland County, please apply to the group. We'd welcome you in.

Hi,
I don't know of such a group, but if you find one, I would surely be interested in attending. I do not feel completely informed about immunizations and am never fully satisfied with the information i receive from my pediatrician. If you find out anything about a group, or can suggest any good resources, I would greatly appreciate it.
