Seeking Information on Enfamil Gentlease Formula

has anyone tried the Enfamil Gentlease formual? I have a gassy baby, and my pediatrican suggested the gentlease. My friends pediatrician said it might just be marketing. Just curious about anyone's experience with this particular formula.

What can I do next?

I use this formula nd love it. I used Isomil Advance Soy with my first son and I much prefer this formula. Also, my Ped todl me that Soy formula is going away. It has been really good for my current baby. It's much smoother and doesn't make their poop as icky as Soy. I also buy it off ebay because I can get it in a 12 pack (24 oz cans) with free shipping and it averages about $20 a can, vs. $24-26 in the store. Also, if you call Enfamil and let them know that your Ped suggested you try it, you can get on their mailing list and they will send you some coupons.

When my son was about 4 weeks he started having trouble with gas, spitup, and fussiness. He lost 2 pounds and ended up in the hospital because he could not keep anything down. We tried 6 different types of formula and gentlease ended up being what he needed. He is sooo happy now and he is still on it at 6 months and has gained 5 pounds already. I dont know what we would have done without it. So I definitely reccomend giving it a try.

Yes, I used it for a little when my son was 7 weeks and hot gas, colic and it did help A LOT but then I found Isomil which had soy but WIC doesn't cover Isomil so they suggested Enfamil Prosobee and that it helped him even more because my son also had acid reflux and that cured the trick because soy helps with common feeding problems. I think I might have a can of Gentle Ease if so you can have it so you can try it out.
I will double check in the morning.

Good Luck

I used gentle-ease as well and it worked well for my son too. One thing to keep in mind when you try a new formula, its best to stay on the same one for a while - switching between formulas can often cause tummy upsets. Good luck.
