Seeking Great Summer Camp Programs in the Keller/Southlake/NRH Area

I need to find a great summer camp for my two daughters, ages 6 and 9. Last year we used Keller Pointe, which I loved but they have raised their fees signficantly for non-members. Please let me know of any great ones or of any ones I should stay away from. Does anyone have experience with Snow Gymnastics in Keller? Or with Southlake Recreation summer camp?

Have you considered Girl Scouts? There are several camp sites throughout the metroplex. The Lone Star Council can let you know what troops are close to you and which ones are very active in camping. The web address is www.gsnetx.org Hope this helps.

I'd LOVE to have your daughters join us this summer on Lake Grapevine - www.AdventureDaycamps.com - we have activities such as Archery, Target Shooting, Kayaking, Swimming, Fishing, Orienteering, Geocaching, Outdoor Games, Arts & Craft Projects, and more.

I have a 12 year old and one on the way. We started our camps back in 2004 and they have grown each season. I have campers that have been coming back since we started. It's been a great program for our kids to enjoy the outdoors, having good old fashioned fun all summer long.

We have 12 separate weeks, but I have some campers that attend all summer...eack week offers different weather and different campers...

Feel free to contact me with any other questions. We added some photos to out site from Spring Break.

Hope to see you this summer!

Pump It Up Grapevine will be offering classes this summer. We are in all the summer camp pages from the local cities. Check when they come out.

Hello,

North Richland Hills Recreation Center has a great summer program for your girls. It is located right next to the Library on the acess road of 820 and Rufe snow. They go to NRH20 every Tuesday and they also go on a field trip on Thursday's to some really awesome places. My son absolutely loved going every day last year. Everyone is so awesome at the camp. Ron Newman is the director. I am sure your girls will love it. The phone # is ###-###-####. Goodluck!

Girl Scouts has great summer programs that are not that expensive! They have over night camping programs and they offer just day programs.

Something to consider.......

For something indoors, there is Young Chefs Academy. They do all sorts of fun summer camps. Your kids learn basic cooking skills and prepare lots of yummy recipes that they get to sample. The kitchens are very kid-friendly too. They are located off Precinct Line, right before you hit Davis Blvd. The website is www.youngchefsacademy.com.

I have heard that Southlake has "
Camp Mania" which is suppose to be alot of fun. I am not sure about the age group for your younger kiddo. You can call the Southlake parks and Rec to see when it is time to register. I think it will be coming up soon
