Seeking Good, Yet Cheap Place for Cute Baby Shower Cake

Call my friend Heather that has her own cake business....I know it sounds kind of cheesy....but, she's just as good if not better than the really expensive bakeries in town. I used to only buy my cakes from Dallas Affairs but now I only get my cakes from her. Her cakes as so moist and fantastic and she's unbelievably creative with her decoration. And, most of the time, she's so cheap that I'm emabarassed and I pay more. Just a couple of weeks ago, I ordered cupcakes for my daughters class and they were cheaper than Krogers!! Are you a member of Costco ? They have very good cakes. The whole sheet for only 15$ !!
They have a design for baby showers. You can choose your colors.

Sam's club also offer cakes. But I don't know if they taste as good.

I once got Wal-mart to make a cake for us with the borders done in the colors to match and they wrote on it for me, put grass, and a train track then I added my own train to match what I was doing. That might work for you if you have small toy train, planes or cars and then the mom could keep those for the baby when he is older???? Hope this helps!

For my shower we just got a non-descript cake from the grocery store and bought little toys that matched the theme to decorate the cake. With your theme being planes, trains, and cars there are a lot of options when it comes to toys that you could purchase.

Busy Little Bees is in McKinney, is pretty reasonable and will deliver!

I love the Lovin Oven in Lancaster. It is on the historic town square and they can do anything. I can either take a decoration or I can tell them what the theme and colors are and they make great cakes. Here is their website w/contact info:

I have been sold since my friend got my baby shower cake from there. In fact in two weeks I am getting a cake for a friends shower from there and I use them for my kids birthdays.

I would try albertsons. I got my wedding cake there for pretty cheap. I chose the different designs from many of the different premade cake designs to get the one just for me. They have a wide selection and you can always be creative and tell them your theme and colors and they can come up with it.
