Seeking Good 'Dallas' Gift

I attended a business conference here in Dallas last week and made many networking contacts-all from other states and Canada. Some of these contacts are people that I started to build a business relationship with prior to the conference and others are people that I met and I'm sure we'll continue to have a business relationship. I would like to send them a 'Dallas' related item with a 'nice to meet you' type note. I want something classy and sophisticated since this is for business, but I also don't want to have to spend a fortune. Also, I'm hoping I can think of something that I can send within a card-so I don't have to worry about sending a package. Some of the people are from Canada too. So what would be a good, classy 'Dallas' memento to send to someone?? Any ideas?
Thanks
A.

What about incorporating the yellow rose of Texas, which also means friendship?
Maybe a Dallas magnet with a yellow rose or something like that?

Good Luck!!

A recipe for Texas chili? Type it on nice paper, add some sort of embellishment or a packet of seasoning or something?

What about a package of bluebonnet seeds with some raffia tied around them? That'd look cute.

I really like the Chili idea and you could really do something cute to spice it up for a gift. Plus, it would be good with the weather in Canada.

A couple of years ago I did something similar to what you are trying to do for my Dad, but I did a favorite cookie recipe (Heath Cookies)and sent the recipe printed on really cute cards and attached a Texas shaped cookie cutter.

You could also send a Christmas ornament, something from Dallas, TX, for their office Christmas tree.

Let us know what you end of doing. Good Luck!

One thing that you can send that would ship easily this time of year is Lamme's pralines. It is not destictively Dallas, but definitely destictively Texas. I send them to family located in other states and they love them!

If you call local candy stores you can get them much cheaper than online!

Maybe a Refrigerator magnet? You could get something with the Dallas skyline on it or something... that would fit in the envelope!

Also, international people mainly seem to associate Dallas with the TV show from the 70's and JFK's assassination. I don't know that you would want to play up the latter, but the former, there are probably some sort of "Who shot J.R." stuff still available, which anyone 35+ will have heard of, I bet.

I like the charm and the bluebonnet seeds ideas!

I want to suggest a packet of salsa mix too. I love the flowers, but they're not going to grow in Canada, and there are plenty of mixes at the Texas Store at Grapevine Mills that would fit in an envelope.
