Seeking Family Doctor

Does anyone know of a conservative minded pediatrician or family doctor? Someone who who won't look down on me for my conservative views of childcare. Would anybody know of a good dentist who doesn't take lots of x-rays every time you see them? How about a good chiropractor who will do children? Thanks so much for all your help!

What can I do next?

Hi, I have 4 boys and I love our pediatrician. It is Jeff Cleveland with Charlotte Pediatric Clinic. They have offices in Southpark, Pineville, and Mint Hill. He now only sees patients in Mint Hill. He is conservative and I really like that. He has 5 kids of his own and he communicates well with the kids and the parents. We have a pediatric dentist. He is Dr. James Brittain. ###-###-#### He's on Randolph Rd. in Eastover Medical Park. I really like him and his staff. They only take xrays when they are needed and only if the kids are okay with it. I started taking my kids there when they were each 3 yr old and they went several times (every 6 months) before they (my kids) were comfortable with getting an xray taken. We have a chiropractor too who is the best! He sees all 4 of my children and has really helped with one of my kid's asthma. He is Eric Shapiro at Preferred Chiropractic Clinic. He's on Carmel Road right across from the post office. He sees lots of kids and he and his staff and office are very kid friendly. Hope this helps!

A., I'm not sure what you mean personally by conservative views of childcare, other than maybe spanking, but I can tell you that I dearly loved my pediatrician whom we left when we moved away from Charlotte. His name is Dr. Fred Culpepper. He is with Providence Pediatrics. He is compassionate, but no-nonsense. Try him out and see if he is what you are looking for.

One of the most respected chiropractors in Charlotte is Dr. Priester. He is on 7th Street near Presbyterian Hospital. My orthopedic doctor thinks a lot of Dr. Priester, so that's saying something! I know from a long time ago that he did chiropractic work on his own children (he had quite a brood back then!) but I am not totally sure that he works on other people's children, so call up the office and ask.

Maybe some of the other ladies have a dentist in mind for you.

All my best,
D.

Hi A.,
If you are looking for a great dentist, Kreeb Family Dentistry in Rosedale Commons in Huntersville is the one for you. They are very kid friendly husband and wife team. I LOVE them. They are closed on Mondays b/c they work in clinics which treat those who cannot afford to go to the dentist. As for a chiropractor, I use Dr. Marc Suprenant in Pineville, yes it is a drive but it is awesome! It is called Family Healing and Chiropractic. They believe in all natural healing and it is not uncommon to see entire families including the family pet there for adjustments and they have Sat. hours! I actually work for an internist in Charlotte (Presbyterian). Here are phone numbers for dentist and chiropractor.
Dentist: ###-###-####
Chiro: ###-###-####: their website is www.maximizedlivingdrsurprenant.com (and he has a radio show on A.M. on Saturdays at 9:30 on 1660 explaining his philosophy)
Good Luck! I know you will be happy w/ both.

Charlotte Pediatric Clinic has always been wonderful with our 3 1/2 year old. We really like Dr. Richter if she is not available then Dr. Moran is just as wonderful. They really listen to your problems and give good advise. I am not sure about the others, but try them for a pediatrician

Goood luck!
