Seeking Fabulous Princess Party Ideas for Royal Birthday Party in Feb

I am in the process of plannning her magesty Princess Shelby's 5th birthday party to host in mid Feb. This royal gala will be at our house and I have been doing some searching for fun and fresh ideas to make this event a memorable one. Does anyone have any creative ideas for the party or also any specific princess/royal games that we can play? Your suggestions would certainly be appreciated. Thanks. Stress Queen MOM

I used dallas face painters for my daughter's party and it was awesome. The face painting was the hit of the party. Even the adults got really into it. I used them for my daughters christening also and it made a boring party exciting. you can look them up on www.dallasfacepainters.com. The lady we use comes about 30 minutes early to set up and she is soooo good with the kids and believe me she is very detailed and good with her face painting. Hope that helps, good luck.

For my daughter's 1st birthday party, there were older kids, so I went to Kinko's and got a picture of her dressed like a princess with a princess crown and I blew it up to(maybe 30X40)-- really big --and they matted it onto a one-inch thick styrofoam posterboard and laminated it somehow---very professional looking. We had it displayed on the wall during the whole party. Then we played "Pin the Crown on the Princess" and had flat paper princess crowns made with construction paper with jewels glued on with each child's name on it (some kids were ok to be blindfolded).... The neat thing is that the kids can get smudges all over the picture because it is 100% protected and you can wipe off at the end of the party with water and papertowel and have as a forever memory. It's still in my daughter's room. Every Princess and Prince who attended party got a real crown to put on during party. We did the 3-layer Disney Castle Princess cake, had a royal feast (hot and cold hors d'ouevres, hot gourmet full-course meal, shrimp, pizza, snacks, etc...)and Disney Pinata. Now I have to be extra creative if I ever do another Princess party...

How about children's storyteller dressed as a Queen. I use lovely halloween queen dress. i am a grandmother and tell interactive stories; my favorites for that age and theme..12 .Dancing Princesses, Thumbellina, etc. 30 min program. Goes well before or after a craft activity. My stories are always centered around good virtues. All stories approved my parents.

I know the owners of this place and it is a place where you daughter and her friends would go and do dress up and all the princess stuff, but I do know they have taken all of the stuff to peoples houses and done the party there.

Good Luck!

You could have a registered yoga teacher (like me!) come to your house and lead the kids in some kid yoga. It's great fun and has many benefits - boosting self-image, fostering creativity and promoting wellness. I did one for my daughter for her sixth birthday and it was a huge hit. Email me directly if you want some information. I live in McKinney, too!

You could also have the princess castle bounce house to go along with the theme. I went through Jumpers4you.com and they were awesome and inexpensive. They also do face painting. Check out their website. Good Luck!
