Seeking Doctor Who Has Success Rate with VBAC in Minneapolis

I had an emergency c-section with my first child. I am not opposed to a scheduled c-section for my second child, but would prefer to work with a doctor (or CNM) who has had some success with VBAC's. If you have had a VBAC, I would love some recommendations or advice. My first baby was born at Fairview University (Riverside Campus) and I used the midwife groups at Riverside Women's Clinic. I loved them and would like to continue to see them if possible, but I am willing to change clinics if I can find a supportive doctor.

What can I do next?

I recommend Dr. Sheila Goodman, she is known to do VBAC's she is currently at Associates in Women's Health clinic in downtown Minneapolis and they also have a clinic in Edina###-###-####) and delivers out of Fairview Southdale or Abbott hospital in south Minneapolis. She use to be a doctor at Fairview Women's Clinic. Her patients love her.

K., Just 14 months after my first child was born by C-section, I delivered my second by VBAC with the midwife group at Riverside Women's Clinic, at Fairview University. My second child was my easiest delivery. They did a fine job, in fact the same midwife who delivered my first by c-section, delivered the 2nd as well. I would not be afraid to do a VBAC with the same group. I then had a second VBAC with my 3rd child 5 years later at St. John's Hospital.

I just had a VBAC about 8 months ago and delivered a wonderful baby girl. I highly recommend the Womens Health Clinic they are located downtown and on 28th and Chicago ave south mpls. (near Abbott Northwestern Hospital) and I believe the whole staff is women, they are all wonderful. I saw Dr. Kelly Morrison she was extremely supportive of a VBAC and has had many success stories with VBACs. Another Dr. delivered my daughter b/c it works with whoever is on call comes to do the delivery but b/c the are all great Drs. it worked very well.

I don't have a specific doctor for you.

The local ICAN(Internation Cesearan Awareness Network) meets the second Monday of every Month in South Minneapolis. There are a lot of women that have had VBACs or planning them. Their website is ican-online.org. The local chapter leader is Chandra Fischer at ____@____.com. I usually attend these meetings. It is a good group of women.
