Seeking Chiropractor to Treat Sinusitis in Toddler (St. Paul)

My son has had seceral repeat sinus infections over the last year. He's been on countless antibiotics and steroids and an ENT removed his tonsils & adenoids in June. We were hoping that that would be the last of his problems, but now he has come down with another one- in August! I'd like to try alternative therapy and have heard good things about chiropractic for some kids. Does anyone have one they would recommend in St. Paul that workes with kids?

What can I do next?

Have you checked him for allergies- that why I was getting so many infections. I have very narrow sinus passages. when things that I'm allergic to irratate narrow passages the they swell up and cause infection. An ent doc should be able to tell you if this is the case. I now am on allergy meds only as needed basis. I have not had problems in 3 yrs now. Good luck to you

I do! I had never been to a chiropractor before but had heard they are very effective with babies who have acid reflux. I took my 6 week baby in who had not slept for more than a 2 hour stretch. She is now 3 months and has slept anywhere from 6 to 8 hours EVERY NIGHT SINCE. We went for a few more adjustments and she is a much happier baby.

I received a referral from my doula for a woman by the name of Channing McKinley who specializes in infants. She has an office in Saint Paul and at the Blooma pre natal yoga studio in Edina. She is supposed to be fabulous (www.channingmckinley.com). However, she was on pregnancy leave when I needed someone and she was referring clients to the woman she works with in Saint Paul and that is where I went. Barb was amazing - kind, patient, smart. We loved her. Her contact information is below.

Hi L.,

Matt Caron at Caron Chiropractic in St. Paul is very good with kids. We took our youngest daughter to him at a very early age and the results were great. She had numerous ear infections/colds that seemed to stop after a few visits. They are located on the corner of Randolph and Snelling. Good luck! S.

Give Complete Chiropractic in St Paul on Grand Avenue a try. They are located between Hamline and Snelling. Dr Dan and Dr Diane are awesome. My kids actually argue over who gets to go first. They have gone there since they were babies. Our whole family goes to them. We are no longer on meds and no longer fighting the allergy thing! Email me if you need more info!

I go to Specific Family Chiropractic. They have an office in Maplewood and one in Spring Lake park. I really like Dr. Joe Biernat. He has been treating our family for the last four years--since I was pregnant with my third child. He is very knowledgable and will take the time to explain why chiropractic works. He also used to be a minor league baseball player so that adds a bit of a fun factor for kids. The office number is ###-###-####
