Seeking an Open-minded Pediatrician

We really like Dr. Glen Garner (Higley and Southern).

We no longer live in Phoenix, but our pediatrician was Steven Hoshiwara. He's in a practice (can't remember the name of it) Just the North of Shea on the East side of Tatum Blvd. He was great and very open to all my crazy ideas. He and his wife have 4 or 5 boys.

We live near 101 and Tatum. We use Desert Sun Pediatrics on Tatum and Jomax, ###-###-####. They have four doctors there and a nurse practicioner. The nurse, Stephanie, is really supportive without automatically giving drugs...she recommends probiotics and more natural medicine. Dr. Horlick is supportive of my more natural beliefs as well. Dr. Patel and Dr. Deluca...not so much. I just started seeing a Naturopathic doctor as well. Turns out my insurance covers it! Her name is Dr. Orona and her practice is called Naturopathic Family Care www.4wecare.com. They are on 32nd Street and Thunderbird. ###-###-####.

We see Dr. Nemivant at Pediatrix. Although I know he thinks we are crazy sometimes, he supports our use of a naturopathic Dr, alternative medicine, selective vaxing, co-sleeping, tandem nursing, etc...

hi! welcome to the area! we happily use papago buttes pedatrics. they are in scottsdale near via de ventura between hayden and the 101.they have 3 male drs. each with a little different style. we use scott cannon. he's great! we have used them since my daughters birth 3 1/2 yrs ago and plan to use them for our son. due to be born 3 feb. they have great hours and a triage nurse.good luck!!

You can call the College of Naturopathic Medicine and get referrals, too. They are here in Phoenix. Naturopathis in AZ have the ability to prescribe medications, etc. like MDs, but they also have the 8 years of education to appropriately prescribe natural medicine.
