We are moving to Bell/60th Street in Scottsdale from GIlbert and I need to find a pediatrician. I prefer a female, I am due to have a child in four weeks and need to find one ASAP. I do not breastfeed and I need a practice that will support my decision. I also have a 2 1/2 year old, so I need one for both. Thanks

Hi I take my children to the scottsdale childrens group. They are great doctors and very friendly. They have 2 offices one on shea and one on osborn. I go to the osborn office but I have heard great things about the shea office and am going to be switching to that office because its closer to my home. the number that I have is for the osborn office but you can call it to get the number for the shea office. If you google "Phoenix Top Docs" I think all the pediatricians in Camelback pediatrics are listed (except Singer). We see Pamela Murphy at Phoenix Pediatrics on Tatum and Union Hills, she's also listed.

I use Robin Gutman at Phoenix Pediatrics. It is on Tatum and Union Hills. She is great! She is about 5 months pregnant with her third child but will be back after she has the baby. Good luck.

We've just moved out her as well and have taken our son to see Dr. Kanagal at Scottsdale Children's Group (Shea and Scottsdale). She is wonderful! My son has a fear of doctors usually but after this one he kept asking to go and see her again! I'm not sure what her stance is on breastfeeding. I do know that she doesn't have a problem with waiving vaccines, though. Good luck!

i go to a great family practice in n. s'dale -- lifescape medical. you can read more about them at www.lifescapemed.com. dr. laurie pozun is great with kids (she has three of her own). they're not a dedicated ped practice, but it's a really friendly office, and i NEVER wait to get in.

I take my 2 daughters to N. Scottsdale pediatrics. I think they also have an office in S. Scottsdale. We have Dr. Catherine Cecil, but have seen others there, and they have all been good.

J.,

I LOVE Camelback Peds. They are on 44th street and Camelback. I believe their website is www.camelbackpediatrics.com My boys go to Dr. Singer but I have taken my daughter's to Dr. Struble. They are all great. Good Luck in your search.

P.S. Have you considered getting a Birth Doula?

I would also highly recommend Camelback Pediatrics. I go to Dr. Kristin Struble and I could not be happier. My son is 6 months old and is constantly sick (the joy of daycare). She cares about not just his well being, but also how I am doing. On occasion, she makes follow-up calls a couple of days later.

I believe they have 6 doctor's in the practice 3 of whom were featured in Phoenix Magazine's Best Valley Pediatrician's. My sister who lives in Ohio has visited me and been to a couple of my visits to the peditrician. Everytime she takes he two girls to the doctor's she always wishes Dr. Struble was also her peditrician.

I take my son to North Scottsdale Pediatrics. They have 2 locations - 90th St/Shea and the loop 101/Union Hills. There are several pediatricians and 2 of them have been profiled in Phoenix Magazine's top doctors edition for the last few years. My son's doctor is Dr.Jodi Carter (she's currently on maternity leave though until Nov) but he has also seen Dr. Caplan (I forgot her first name). I have enjoyed everyone there. The MAs are friendly and I have had to call a couple of times for the triage nurse. They usually callback within the hour. Here is a link to their website: http://www.nspeds.com/
Good luck and congratulations on your new little one. Oh and I didn't breastfeed (mainly because of other issues going on) but they never talked about having issues with this. They helped me chose the right forumula for my son.
