Hi N.! Have you ever been to Mystic Aquarium or the Children's Museum? There are things to do for kids of all ages. If you don't mind a little bit of travel, there is also Sesame Place in New Jersey. I've never been there but I plan to take my 4 year old this summer. From their website it looks like a fun amusement park for even your older child. There is also Lake Compounce in Bristol Ct. Well, these are just a few suggestions. Hope you have a fun weekend!

Are you just taking your own children or are you also taking friends? Not sure how much you want to pay or where you live in CT, but Mystic Aquarium is fun and fits all ages. Or there is the Dinosaur park - cant think of the name but is closer to the shore - the weather is supposed to be nice this weekend. I will have to go see if I have the dinosaur park information - I think it is near one of the casinos because there is also a museum that is based on one of the tribes nearby. Sorry to be so vague.

Well, I have been to the Children's Science Museum in Boston. It's great. My hubby and I went there when we were dating and spent all day and didn't even see everything. There is tons to see and do and it's all hands on. They have an indoor lightening storm, a planetarium, and everything you can think of. There is enough to keep all 3 kids entertained.

We LOVE the Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, Rhode Island. We live in Litchfield County in CT and it takes us about 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 hours to get there. It is huge and tons to see. My children absolutely LOVE it. We go a couple times a year.
Good Luck! Hope your daughter has a terrific birthday!
