Hi moms! I am looking for a place in Chicago to get a haircut for a three month old baby. Our son was blessed with a headful of brown hair at birth, and now he's starting to look like Donald Trump because we comb over his long hair in the front! :) Save my son from having baby's first mullet and please let me know of places that do good haircuts for babies (and recommendations to specific stylists if you can). Thanks for any suggestions!

Well I live in the southside of chicago, and the first time I took my baby to get his long hair cut off, I took him to Super Cuts..The ladies were so patient, I am saying this because my baby was an active one, I was able to sit with him. The SuperCuts I went to was on Kedzie ave. on 47 th street, a little to far for you, but hopefully, there is one nearby

We took my daughter to KidSnips when she was 7 months old. They did a good job, especially since she was obsessed with standing up and sitting down in the little truck they put her in.

I like JHR Kids Cuts on Irving Park and Hoyne. The owner Julie is very sweet and there is usually no wait. I have always been happy with my son's haircuts there.

Hi! Not sure where you're located but Snippets on Clyborn and Webster is great!! It's completely made for kids, they sit in specially made airplanes or race cars, and each chair has it's own tv with cartoons to keep the kids busy and most importantly still, while getting their first cut! Not too expensive, $20. Plus if you want, they can also video tape their first cut so you can cherish it forever!
Here ya go:

I would say Kidsnips. There is one is Wilmette in Edens Plaza.

Just an alternative - our son has fast growing hair, too, and I was not a fan of the mullet look either!

I bought a set of hair clippers at Target and trim his hair (4 on the sides, 6 or 7 on the top!). It's easy to do and inexpensive considering how often he needs a trim. While he was scared the first time, now he loves how it tickles and vibrates on his head. :)

I have 2 boys, 2 y.o and 4 y.o. We've been to Snippets, Kidsnips in both Northbrook Court and in Wilmette. All of these places have been great. There's also a newer place in the basement of Field's (now Macy's) in Old Orchard called Simonsays. It's a salon especially for kids. We took my second son there for his first haircut and they have a special first cut package where they'll put it on DVD for you. Good luck!
