I know that you are probably going to receive all sorts or responses to this request. I attend Oak Grove UMC in Chesapeake--it is right off Battlefield--the little white church on the corner. My husband is in the Navy and started attending this church 4 years ago and we have loved every minute of it. They have plenty of children ranging from all ages. I have a daughter who is 7 months old and know what is like to be in a different place (this is the only time we have been stationed near family though). I hope this helps. Here is a link to the church website: www.oakgroveumc.com . Good luck! Please feel free to email me with any questions or if you would like to visit--I would be more than happy to give you a tour. My email address is ____@____.com have two services 8:15am--very traditional, and 11:00am is more contemporary.

Hi M.! My famly and I go to First View Baptist church. It is almost right outside gate 4 of NOB. It is on Firstview Ave.
It is a small church and the pastor is a sweet older good old boy. He and his wife are really kind and everyone is very caring. They have things going on for the kids as well. Sunday school starts at 9:45 and worship is at 11:00. The church belongs to the Southern Baptist Association.

I would like to invite you to attend my church in Norfolk. I am a member of Calvary Revival Church. The church size is big, but the people in the church will make it seem small because everyone will reach out to you and always make you feel at home. The church is located off Poplar Hall Drive across the street from The Gallery at Military Circle (Military Circle Mall). Please come out this Sunday the Choir will sing and I am in the choir. If you come next sunday it's dress down sunday, so wear you comfortable jeans. The church web site is www.crcglobal.org
I hope you can come. Services are 8am and 10:30am.

Our church sounds like it could be right for you. It's small (about 125 people) and it's on Granby Street in Norfolk. We also have a lot of kids and a lot of young military families. It's a really down-to-earth group of Christians. We have Sunday and Wednesday night classes for the kids, Children's Church for 3-2nd graders, VBS and other activities for the kids. We also have small groups to facilitate deeper relationships and support for one another. And every Wednesday we have a dinner for the military families.

Well, it's far from a small church, but I have not seen one this alive since I was little. Liberty Baptist Church in Hampton, VA is awesome. I know it's across the water from Norfolk, but people travel as far as Richmond just to come to Liberty. We have something going on every day of the week and childcare is always available. I was looking for a small church too, but when my husband and I found Liberty, we had to stay. I've never seen God move as much I have here at Liberty. Come join us. http://lbcmin.com

I too am a Military wife and we love our church in Norfolk. It is Riverside Baptist Church (off Military Hwy not far from the Military Circle mall). It is a small family church where the people really care about each other. When I first moved here they were the lighthouse I needed. Now I love watching my 2 children grow with our loving "extended family".

Wherevere you go to church, may you and your family be blessed!
