I too have family in another state but have wonderful friends and in-laws here. Look online for Moms Groups in your area. I know that there is one in Mohnton so go to Yahoo or Google and type in 'Moms Groups in Reading PA'. They are a wonderful way to meet new friends fro yourself and your children!

I also have three kids and love doing things with me kids. They are my life. i had the same problem when i moved to south jersey and I found a local moms club which I am now meeting new people and getting my child around his peers. It's important not only for your child but for you as well. Here is a website to look into. www.momsclub.org. You can find a chapter that's local to you. They do all sorts of activities with the kids and you get to meet moms like you. I hope this helps.

Hello, I am a stay at home mom myself, and I sell things on ebay for extra money. Kids outgrown clothing, toys, strollers etc. I also buy at yard sales or stores & resell for more on ebay. Its a good easy way to make money.

I am also a 25 year old stay at home mom that is relatively new to the area. I just recently made freinds in the last year or so. I feel the same way, it is really hard to meet people you can trust. I moved to Denver, PA just 3 years ago, and people up here are very hard to be friends with. I am 45, divorced since I moved up here, but I have a 16 year old daughter and a 13 year old son. First off I know exactly how you feel. I am 26 years old and have two biys 6 & 8months. It is so hard to find and keep friends. I am also fairly new to the area, me and my boyfriend moved to Eagleville about a year and a half ago and like you, it's just the two of us and his daughter when we have her. We are coming to the end of a custody battle of which we won but that is a whole different story for another time. I've only met one person from this area that i made friends with, we went to the same college in philadelphia and met at the train station, only problem was, it was her first quarter and my last quarter, so since I've graduated, I haven't really seen her.
