Searching for Doctor in Princeton Area
My husband, our 13 month old son, and I just moved to the Princeton area and I'm in need of a good general/family practice doctor. It could be a man or a woman - I'm not particular. We are living in faculty housing on the Princeton campus, so I would prefer to find a physician nearby.
And while I'm asking, we also need a good dentist.
Any suggestions?
So What Happened?™
Thanks so much! I've already gone over to Princeton Nassau Pediatrics and scheduled his 15-month well child appointment, and I'll investigate all of the other doctors you wonderful ladies suggested. Hopefully one (or all) of them will accept our insurance. I appreciate your advice!!

Hi K....we also use Princeton-Nassau Pediatrics on N. Harrison Street. It's a large practice, so they have great hours (even on weekends and holidays) with two locations (one in West Windsor). We see Dr. Mandelbaum but they are all good. Almost everyone I know uses them (I'm in Montgomery).
For a pediatric dentist, my boys see Dr. Andy Chung, who is also in the Princeton Shopping Center. He is very good, too.
Welcome to the area, and let me know if you need help with other stuff...I've lived in the Central Jersey area since I was 13 and in Montgomery for the last 8 years. L..

hi K.,
me too, i just had a baby boy on january 26th - it's the greatest thing being a mom.
anyway, you were looking for a general doctor - there is an office building, off of harrison street (past the shopping ctr), called princeton medical group. there is a doctor named paul lacava - he's a very nice man, young, and answers any questions you have. (i don't go to him anymore because he's not in my plan). there is also a great ob/gyn in the same building - dr. marybeth kazansky.
good luck!

Hi, my name is J.. Although I can't recommend a dr in your area(I live in Edison, NJ) I can recommend my dentist. His name is Larry Brent and he is in Cranbury on Route 130, not far from where you are.I have been using him for many years and I absolutely LOVE him. His telephone # is ###-###-####. His office is closed on Wednesdays. Good luck to you.

Hi, K.! And welcome. :-)
I can't recommend a doctor in Princeton, but my dentist is there and everyone I've seen at that office is WONDERFUL. Check out the Princeton Center for Dental Aesthetics on Chambers Street, just next to Palmer Square. My husband's whole family has been seeing Dr. Huckel for years (it's his practice) and I see Dr. Balescu. Love them both!

Welcome to our area...................
DENTIST: DR. CRAIG TYL...GREAT SKILL, PERSONALITY, OFFICE PERSONNEL. I HAVE GREAT CONFIDENCE IN HIS ABILITY- TRUST HIM COMPLETELY WITH ANY/ALL DENTAL ISSUES. LOCAL PRINCETON AREA.
DOCTOR: DR. IZABELLA ZATHURECZKY
SHE IS A SUPERB INTERNIST. HER WONDERFUL PERSONALITY COMBINES WITH HER MEDICAL EXPERTISE. LAWRENCEVILLE (ABOUT 4 OR 5 MILES FROM WHERE YOU LIVE). I BELIEVE SHE IS ASSOCIATED WITH HELENE FULD HOSP. IN TRENTON.
I RECOMMEND DR. NICOLE DAVIS FOR GYN.
MY GROWN CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN LIVE IN CHICAGO SO I AM NOT PERSONALLY INVOLVED WITH A PEDIATRICIAN.
GOOD LUCK.................
