Sea World San Antonio Hotels

Hi Moms!
We are planning our first family vacation with our children. At the time of the trip our son will be 22 months and our daughter will be 3 months. We are going to Sea World San Antonio. Does anyone know of a great hotel that is family/kid friendly? I'd love to have a place with a mini-fridge and a bigger room--where we can put the kids down and have a space to ourselves at night. Any other trip tips that you've experienced on this vacation would be helpful as well.
Thanks!

I live in San Antonio actually. The only hotels that are close to there that I can think of are the Hyatt Hill Country and the Radisson Hill Country and they are both VERY nice. Sea World is actually close to a somewhat bad side of town (San Antonio's West side is not kid-friendly and can be very unsafe) so I wouldn't recommend staying anywhere off of Loop 410. Sea World is actually not too too close to the west side so please don't be worried. It's just that the hotels that are around it are few and far between. Keep to Loop 1604 when looking for a hotel. If you can afford the Hyatt or Radisson, I'd really recommend staying there. Or, if you don't mind driving a little bit, check out hotels near the 1-10/1604 interchange. There's an Omni, a Candlewood Suites and some other cheaper hotels. It's about a 20 min, if that, drive from 1-10/1604 to Sea World and I-10 is a much nicer, more populated area of town and there are tons of restaurants...lots with kid-friendly menus. If you need any more help, I have lived in SA for 20 years and know it like the back of my hand, so feel free to message me on here. Good luck!

We stayed at the Hyatt Hill Country 2 summers ago. WONDERFUL! It is very close to Sea World and there is enough to do on property that you actually would not need to leave the grounds. Very kid friendly! They have a "lazy river" that winds around and dumps you into the pool area.

I definitely recommend Hyatt Hill Country!

Another vote for the Hyatt Hill Country. I cannot think of a more kid-friendly hotel. It is like being at Disney.

Just one more vote for the Hyatt Hill Country. Worth the splurge! Peaceful for you yet fun for the kids! Be sure to schedule enough time to enjoy their lazy river. River Walk downtown is great for an evening dinner. Don't forget The Alamo! We took our son when he was 2 for his first vacation and he enjoyed strolling around and looking at all the sights downtown had to offer!
