community mennonite on 165th & kedzie in markham. my youngest son graduated from kindergarden there. it's all day, the only one in the southern subs, and they take childcare initiatives from cook county. good luck! it's a very good school.

I am not sure what part of Hazel Crest you are in, but I called the Prairie Hills School district and gave them my address. They were able to tell me which school was for my area and when to register. I don't know for the 15 month old, but if you go to the Village Hall or HC website they tell about the businesses in HC. This includes daycares. Or you can call Illinois Action for children to get a list of daycare providers according to your zip code. Hope this helps.

Great That you are looking for a good school but don't forget to READ to those sweet babies daily...and get them lots of puzzles...part to whole concepts are sooo important...Cut out the words on the foods that you eat to make flash cards..Cheerios or any other word will be great for them to carry around and learn to recognize...PLEASE keep their diets full of fresh fruits and veggies and be sure to serve healthy brain food fish two times a week...Sardines, salmon, perch, smelts anything that is NOT fried or breaded....No tuna since it has been implicated in autism on the Montel Show. All your praise and encouragement plus a few listening books on tape or Cd will help those kids to BLOOM. Talk to them lots and take them on adventures in the real world...
MY first son just married and i am hoping for gandkids soon...Smiles, D. J

Hi V.,
A school that I am familiar with and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is The Community Mennonite Early Learning Center at 3215 W. 162nd in Markham. ###-###-####-1232. You can find their website.
For any childcare questions, contact Maggie Keane at the Good Shepherd Center, 17512 Carriage Way, Suite A in Hazelcrest. ###-###-####. She (her agency) can refer you to accredited schools and family day cares in the area.
Good luck!
