Hello Mommies! I was wondering if anyone had any experience with any of these daycares and if so what are your insights, we're putting our 2 year old son in daycare for the first time and I need recommendations or suggestions we work and live in the Plano area 75024. I'm really nervous and scared to leave my only child in the care of someone else but I know that it's time for him to be around other children as well as get into school so any recommendations are tremendously appreciated. Here are some that I have gotten so far: Preston Park Montessori Academy, Children's Garden Montessori Academy, Parker-Chase Child Development Center, and Preston Creek Montessori Academy. Please let me know if you have heard or experienced anything about either of these schools and also if you know of any other great daycares we should look into. Thank you.

What can I do next?

Montessori is a wonderful route to go when entering a structured school environment for the first time. Please know that not all Montessori schools are alike, you will need to visit and observe the school. Go to www.privateschoolreview.com to see if the schools you are looking at are on the website and the reviews they've received.
Good luck with your quest!

We had our daughter at Parker Chase (Tennyson) when I worked full time - until she was almost two. We loved it - until the very end. I think all day day-care started being long days for her, plus I don't think there was enough structure. Now - we never went into the two year old class, so maybe there's more structure starting then. Also I noticed a direct correlation to how much we like the school and how much consistency there was with the teachers. The first year we were there, there was a lot of consistency and it was a great place for her. The next two rooms she moved to had a lot of turnover, but i will say all the teachers were warm and loving and I always felt good leaving our daughter in their care!

Both of my children have gone to A Child's Garden Montessori and my youngest is finishing kindergarten there! I love the place, the people and the atmosphere. Feel free to e-mail me if you would like to talk more.

Both of my kids are at Preston Park Montessori. My daughter started at 2 (now 2.5) and my son started last week, he's almost 11 months. The staff is friendly and genuinely caring and the facility is clean. I feel confident leaving my children there. I know it's hard to leave them is someone else's care, but my daughter has learned SO much in the few months she has been there and she loves her friends and teacher. BTW, Preston Creek and Preston Park are the same owners.

We put our daughter in A+ Prep School & loved it! The lady that owns it is Asian & has her Master's degree in education. They offer extra curriculars like violin & teach Chinese during class. It is between Spring Creek & Legacy on Independence.
