Recommendations for Pediatricians in Ahwatukee

My OB is asking us to choose a pediatrician soon (baby is due mid-October), and I'm unsure of what qualities to look for. We live near 40th St. and Chandler, and there are a few pediatricians nearby who I've called to ask about insurance plans, their office hours, after-hours care, etc. They all seem very similar so-far. Are there other questions I should be asking? Does anyone have any recommendations for specific doctors or offices in this area? Thank you!

What can I do next?

I have a great pediatrician whom I love, her name is Dr Mary Jo Kutler she is at Ahwatukee Pediatrics on 46th and Chandler by Kohls and the Tealicious place right by Starbucks. I sent a friend there also and she loves her too. Plus Dianne Olson is great also. Their staff is very friendly. I think you would really like them. Their phone is ###-###-#### and the address is 15715 S 46th St # 102.
Good luck.

I love our pediatrician. Her name is Dr Susan Chung and she is with Mesa Pediatrics. There are several locations but we go to the one at Kyrene and Chandler Blvd. I can always get in when I need an appointment and I just love Dr Chung!

Good luck!

Congratulations J.! We also use Dr. Miller at TLC Pediatrics and love her. We started out using Step by Step Pediatrics in Chandler, but did not like one of the doctors. Always know you can change doctors if you don't like the initial one you choose.

Good luck in your decision!

Mesa pediatrics has a lot of great docs. They're located at Kyrene and Chandler Blvd. ###-###-####. http://www.mesapeds.com/

Hi J.! Congratulations on your first baby. I live in Ahwatukee and I use Dr. Miller at TLC pediatrics. They are actually right where you live. They are located at Frye and Chandler Blvd. They are the most wonderful practice! I like ALL of the doctors and Dr. Matsomoto (I most likely spelled that wrong) has been recognized with many awards. Dr. Miller is so sweet and she not only takes care of the babies, she is compassionate and nurturing to the moms too. They have a sick waiting room and well waiting room and they are really good about getting you in the same day if you call in the morning with a sick child. The nurses are really nice, but the receptionist staff can be moody at times (I think this would be typical in any pediatrician's office though) My youngest daughter was in the hospital at 2 weeks old with RSV and all of the doctors in the practice really helped our family through the stressful time. I visited Dr. Miller when I was pregnant to get established with the practice. I mostly wanted to make sure I connected with her. She is used to seeing pregnant moms and does quite a few initial consultations. I don't think there are any set questions to ask, just whatever is on your mind. You may be interested in asking about philosophies on vaccinations, how aggressive they are with giving kids medications etc... I found that I didn't really know which questions I wanted to ask until I actually had the baby and spent more time at the doctor.

Are you a stay-at-home mom? I have 2 girls, but my youngest is only 4 months old. Even though your baby will be younger if you ever want to meet for a play date let me know. I have scheduled a bunch through October and will plan more for this winter. If you would like to meet for coffee or bagels prior to your birth I can answer any questions you have about TLC pediatrics or babies in general. I'm always looking to meet new women in the community.

Best of luck to you, enjoy your last trimester!

Hi! We LOVE our pediatrician. We live in the exact area as you do and her office is located right down on 40th street below Chandler and before Pecos. Her name is Dr. Kristina Ramirez at TLC Pediatrics. When we were choosing she did an interview & was very helpful & open to any questions you may have. I would definitely check her out! Hope this helps! Her # is ###-###-####.

I take my kids to Ahwatukee Pediatrics. Everyone this wonderful & helpful. Their number is ###-###-####, Dr. Mary Jo Kutler & Dianne Olson. They are both really nice & helpful. So far I have had no issues w/their office (that is including the staff).
