Recommendation for Doctor to Perform Vasectomy

I'm looking for a recommendation for a doctor to perform a vasectomy in the twin cities metro. Hubby and I are done having kids and would like to have him get a vasectomy. Has your partner gotten one? Where did he go? Just seems like such an important thing to make sure you see a good doctor for! :) Any suggestions are appreciated. Our insurance is open access, so we can go pretty much anywhere. We'd like to get it done soon for insurance reasons. If you know of someone in the Health East system in particular, that would be great.

Thank you!

What can I do next?

The urologist my husband used has moved out of the area, but my dad has been seeing a urologist at this clinic for years, they treated him for prostate cancer 20 years ago and did a wonderful job with the prostatectomy. Good folks, and multiple locations. Not sure what system they're part of, though.

Dr. Schow: Amazing. Reliable. Professional. He'll get the job done and do it perfectly! (And he'll re-do it later if you ever change your mind!)

When my hubby got one 16 years ago, I had asked my OB/GYN if there was anyone they recommended as we were clueless...25 years old and done after one child.

He told us of one in the same medical building and we just went there. No research or anything (what did we know?). Great story tho...doc's name...to do that job...hubby refers ot it as getting "chopped and lowered" since we are a race car/car show sorta family (if you don't know the term, its a term for those old cars that get altered...altered..see..it works!)...so his doc?? Dr. Hackett. Yup...say it a few times and consider whats being done to the men. HACK-IT...OMG he almost passed out when I told him the docs name. I made the appointment for him....BAHAHAHAHA!

Good Luck!

My ex went to the Park Nicollet clinic in Eagan. I don't know which doctor did the procedure.

That was nine years ago, and it already was a very simple procedure. They didn't even use stitches, and he was in and out of the clinic in a very short time. I picked him up and we went out for lunch. Sore for a day or two, then fine.
