Try posting on craigslist. Also contact your local pools to see if they can refer you to someone. Often swim class instructors will also offer private lessons.
Good Luck

We live Downtown - but contact Chicago Blue Dolphins - John Fitzpatrick http://www.chicagobluedolphins.com/
they do private lessons, and I thought I heard the coach say something about teachers out at Oak Park.
Also we had a swim teacher who lives in Brookfield, she does lessons Downtown also, maybe she has access to somewhere out your way for lessons. Her name is Mary Flynn, email: ____@____.com
My son made progress with both and they both were great with the kids.
Hope this is a starting point at least. If they don't do it, hopefully they will know someone in your area.
