Printer Ink Refill Kits?

Has anyone used the refill kits for printer ink. I'm tired of spending $75 on new cartridges when my printer didn't even cost that much! Where did you buy them...did they work?
I use the Epson 125 cartridges

What can I do next?

I won't use them. It is not worth potential damage to my printer.

What type of printer do you have? We have an HP Office Jet Pro 8600 we purchased in July. I work from home and print a LOT. It is December and the initial set of cartridges that came with the printer have not run out yet.

I did spend about $100 on HP replacement cartridges for future use and I buy the more expensive one that gives you more printing.

I buy my cartridges from Staples.

I have an HP Officejet All-in-One printer and also wanted to save money on ink cartridges, so one time, I bought the refilled store brand from Office Depot which were cheaper than the HP by only a few dollars. They did not function nearly as well as the HP and I took them back and traded them for the HP brand. It was over a year ago, and forgot the exact problem, but I think they caused many error messages.

The store clerk told me they occasionally have problems with the refilled cartridges.

I had a friend that tried...so much for her carpet :(
We get our ink refilled at Costco. It is a lot cheaper and works well in the printer. They can refill a cartridge 3 times I believe before it can't be done again.
Printer companies of course only want your money so claim that only their brand new cartridges work correctly and the rest are use at your own risk. We've never had issues with the refills from Costco.

Use caution with these, I once bought a kit and it clogged the jets. We also had a different Epson at the time. I love Epson but the cartridge cost does add up. I also purchased for an online site once but found the ink inferior and really bad for photos. Now we had an Epson and use the 200 cartridges. Check out sites online and you might get a good deal. I found that Office Depot has the XL (more ink) package of all 4 for 53.00 but not in the store.

I have an Epson and tried to refill the cartridge at Costco. It never worked. There is a reset sensor somewhere on the cartridge that I was never able to find and I am usually pretty good at figuring that stuff out.

Now I have my printer set to black and white and don't have to worry so much about replacements every time I run low on a color.

As well, I don't purchase ink in advance. That way when this stupid Epson breaks I can go back to HP!

yes, I use to use refill kits. They broke my printer. I am now paying full price, even though it's probably cheaper to just buy a new printer every 2 years --I can't stand the thought of all that garbage!
