After vaginal childbirth, how soon after delivery can this wrap be worn??? I am getting different answers. My grandmother says to do it RIGHT away...my midwife says wait 2 weeks. I just want to be sure to minimize any loose skin that may develop as a result of this pregnancy, but don't want to injur myself either. Thank you. :)

What can I do next?

I had two c-sections and I was told to begin wearing it right away by the doctor. I would think any support for those loose muscles and the traumatized area... even by vaginal birth... could use a bit of help until you're back to normal. Good luck!

I was given a support type binder in the hospital after my c-section and wore it for 6 weeks. The overall stability I felt was worth wearing the binder for this period. I wish there were something that could have covered more of my hips and lower back as these areas were very weak and in need of support too. Overall the support and structure to assist with healing is greatly improved by wearing this type of product.

I've had three kids (18, 8, 3) via c-section, and after the last one the nurses put it on me as part of the normal post-op procedure. Holy mackerel, it felt SO much better! I was surprised at how much difference I felt when I removed it for showers, etc.

But definitely, it will do NOTHING for your skin. Stretch marks and skin resiliency is purely a function of genetics - you either will or will not snap back, and no amount of creams, exercise or even the support garment will change the outcome.

However your body reacted after your son's birth is the best predictor for your reaction this time around (accounting for a second pregnancy and being just a little bit older!).

Best of luck, and enjoy the babies!

I had 2 csections and i wore the belt right after in the hospital, but it doesnt help the loose skin as far as i know, its for the muscles and everything they had to cut through so you dont injure yourself, to kinda to hold everything "in place" so you dont feel like your "guts" are ganna fall out.

I came out of my c-section post-op already wearing one. I didn't even realize it was on until the nurse came in a few hours later to change all the messy stuff. I agree that it is more for support not necessarily for cosmetic reasons. If you were in pretty good shape when you got pregnant and started to expand, you should look pretty good several months post partum. Just be patient and give your body time to heal itself. Heidi Klum was on the Victoria Secret runway five weeks after giving birth so it's definitely possible to recover almost perfectly.

I wore mine in the hospital after both C-sections. I have news for you though...nothing's going to help with loose skin. The belt is just for your comfort :-).

After emergency C section to have my twins I think it was day 4 in the hospital when my mom asked for me. The nurses wrapped me the first time. I believe this support is for the muscles not necessarily the loose skin. It felt so good to have my belly supported after having the boys. Whether your belly bounces back to almost pre baby depends on losing the weight and genetics. After 4 children my very tiny good friend (5 ft 115 lbs) opted for a tummy tuck. It was sooooooo painful but she looks great now.
