There was a previous post regarding recommendations for a portable DVD players you can attach to a car headrest, but it only received 2 responses--neither of which were much help. Does anyone use one they can recommend? We need one that doesn't have the fold-down part that my son would be able to kick and mess up! Please help--we leave for Mississippi on Friday!!! :)

What can I do next?

I am not sure what you mean by fold down, but we have Mustek it has dual screen. If you are worried about him kicking it then I would put the screen that holds the dvd's on the other head rest and the second screen on his side. My parents bought ours for Christmas as well at Sam's, but I don't know if they still sell them. Target and Walmart sells dual screen, but a different brand. Make sure to buy the warranty it is worth it when you have little hands touching them all the time.

We just have the regular flip open DVD player. We had the same problem with our son resting his feet on it and kicking it if he could reach it. My husband just put a bungi cord around the bottom part of the DVD player and attach it to the headrest and make it flat. The screen flips open almost all the way up, vertically. Does that make since? This way we did not have to buy anything extra. So just a bungi cord! Hope that helps!

My parents gave us ours for Christmas, for our 2 (now 3) year old son to use. They got it at Car Toys in FW and the brand is Coby. It can be set down to be used on a table or the floor, or on the center console in a vehicle, but the screen will rotate and flip so that the screen folds down onto ittself so the whole device becomes flat, and it hangs from a harness you hook onto the headrest in front. Hope that helps!
