Instead of teaching her that it's ok to run away from a problem, why don't you teach her that mature people deal with their problems? Take her in and talk to the counselors and principal. Ask for a meeting where everyone sits down together and works out a problem.
I know you didn't like my answer yesterday, but reading this response I stand by my opinion. You shouldn't be her sole source of education:(
What your daughter needs is not homeschooling; she needs some support from her school corporation and, possibly, help from a tutor (or more than one) to get caught up. If the teachers are giving her a hard time, the principal needs to know about it. Sit down with her principal and find out what can be worked out. Your daughter has the right to an education provided by capable teachers.
I can't help with the homeschooling questions. However, if a child has a sickness or disability that causes them to miss alot of school, they can NOT harass her or hold it against her in any way. If your child has a medical condition that is causing her to miss school, you should be talking with the school officials about an IEP or Section 504 plan. Please talk with your doctor and also look at wrightslaw.com for your child's rights. Then talk with the school counselor (usually the person who sets these types of meetings up). You can discuss the absences and the need for her to miss school because of her medical condition and/or disability and write that into the plan -- along with information about how to handle the missed work. I know children with cancer and other serious medical conditions or disabilities that cause them to miss alot of school (hospital stays, weakened immune system, severe anxiety, etc) and they have no problem at all staying up-to-date with their schoolwork even though they may miss ALOT of days.

HOmeschooling is not just free websites. There are some that will help but if you are serious about it then look into some curriculums.
I use Singapore Math and Shurley Grammar.
I have a friend who uses Institute for Excellence in Writing and I intend to get it next year.
There is the 500 words from the SAT spelling book.
Mystery of HIstory or The Story of the World. I have both and use them interchangeably.
My daughter takes an online Bio class.
Check the used bookstores in your area, also Christian bookstores might have used homeschool books.
I encourage you to go to the counselor, tell them you are considering homeschooling her.

There are plenty of free sites but I don't use them so I'm not familiar. You can certainly google "free 7th grade curriculum." I do use www.math.com, which is free, for extra and different explanations of concepts and they have free printable worksheets on almost everything. You can also go on your school system's website and see what the required reading is for her grade and start her on a book or two. Don't stress over getting it right. She'll learn anything you want to teach her. The school will probably let her finish out the school year with the books she's using and you can research more for next year.

have you spoken to the school counselors? a lot of schools offer some type of alternative schooling for children with needs such as this. If they don't offer one, they should be able to at least provide you with resources or referrals to credentialed places to use.
