My child is 2, and we are trying to find a preschool for her. I live in East Orlando, and we are trying to choose among: Star Child Academy (Wateford Lakes), Primrose (Avalon), and Parkway (Lake Underhill).

Please let me know if you have any recommendations or comments on any of the above centers.

Hello G.,

I don't know anything about these centers, but have you checked into Downey Christian Pre-school. My daughter loved going here when she was younger. By the age of 3 1/2, she was learning to read.

Downey is located on East Colonial Drive near Dean Road.

Take Care,

J.

My children ages 2 & 3 attend Parkway and we LOVE it. I have no experience with the others but I would recommend Parkway to anyone.

Hi G.,

My three year old is at Parkway and she loves it! They have an excellent Christian based learning program. The school focuses on the academic, emotional, social, physical, and spiritual development of the child. We have no complaints at all about this school. I have heard Primrose is great and I do not know anything about Star Child. Good luck!!

Hi...Primrose is the best for a secular, excellent academic education. I am familiar with all three.
Parkway is Christian I believe and they are very nurturing. I believe that is very important. They are academically sound as well.

Star Child is good too. Primrose is a notch above Star Child... to me.

I would chose Parkway if it were my child, but that is my personal preference.

Above all, I would pray about which is best for your child.

Peace,
Pam

Good day, I have visited Star Child Academy (Waterford Lakes) and it seemed over-crowded to me. You may want to check out their ratings at citysearch.com or at the yahoo ratings. It'll also be a good idea for you to spend a few hours at each daycare center. The mornings are great, because that's when learning "should" take place. It's also a great idea to check them out at Lunch Time, because that's when it may get hectic and it's a great way to see how the providers deal with it. I hope that this information has helped.
