Pleasanton Area Doctor Recommendations PLEASE

I love my OB/GYN, Joanne Vogel, MD. She is knowledgeable but down-to-earth, caring and professional. Her office is in San Ramon, not too far from Dublin.

I have heard that Mason is highly recommended over there. She is a midwife.

Or if you want a women I've heard Dr. Olivera is good. They are in the same practice (and work as a team) at Valley Care in Pleasanton. That being said, I love delivering at Valley Care. The nurses were great and the rooms are comfortable.

Dr. Leikam is wonderful. She looks to be in her mid to late 40's and has had kids of her own, so she's very knowledgeable (and has been there.) Most importantly you can really tell she loves kids. Every time I've been there, she picks my daughter up and cuddles and talks to her. She is wonderful :)
Also, I read below, and my husband's whole family sees Dr. Santos (a family practitioner) - they love him.
And one of my friends highly recommended Dr. Vogel (for and OB) as well. I would've gone to her, but it was in San Ramon, and Valley care is 2 min from our house.
I've heard great things about San Ramon through. I heard most of the nurses used to be midwifes (some had been doulas) and the rooms were described to me as hotel rooms. Had I not been too lazy, I would've checked them out.

Hi - I recently had our second daughter Madison in June 2007 and my OB is Bettina Zatuchni. Dr Z is an AMAZING woman and a caring Dr. I am proud to call her a friend and share her name with anyone who needs an OB or GY Doctor.

Once your baby is here, I strongly recommend San Ramon Valley Primary Care Medical Group. We have found Dr Thomas F. Long, Dr Tracy L. Trotter & Dr Tracy T. Trujillo to be the best Dr's in the group.

If it is an OBGYN that you are looking for, then I would hands down recommend Dr. Lee. He is located in the Pleasanton hospital. He has delivered all 3 of my children and my sister's 2 kids. Good luck!!

I live in Union City about 30 min away but my kids pediatrician is in Pleasanton. It's called Pleasanton Livermore Pediatrics . Very excellent place to go to!!!!
I drive 30 min just to see them.

Try "Valley Women's Health" in Pleasanton. Dr. Phillips was my main OBGYN and I loved him. He was very professional and thorough. I had an emergency C-Section with my twins and was actually delivered by two of his associates, Dr. Barbara Newman and Dr. Nunes who both instantly put me at ease and everything was a success. Dr. Phillips was not able to be there quick enough (in SF), but came early the next morning to check on me. I highly recommend this office. Hope this helps!

If you are looking for an OBGYN, then Dr. Newman on Las Positas is great. She has an office of 5 other doctors and I would recomend almost all of them. I haven't had to see the other two. I was refered there and have been going there for 4 years now and know lots of people who also go there. I drive in from Discovery Bay and it's definetly worth it. I just referred my sister who lives in Pleasanton now because she's pregnant. I hope this was helpful.

If you are looking for an OBGYN, Dr. Tun Lee in Pleasanton is one of the very best. His practice is located at Valley Care. He delivered my last two children. The nurses in the maternity ward love working with him. A woman who used to do labor and delivery in Valley Care was the one who recommended him, and I am so grateful. He is very experienced and skilled. I healed quickly and well after my deliveries and they were nine and ten lb babies. Unlike some offices I've got to, Dr. Lee rarely ran late, I have never been kept waiting more than five minutes for any appointment. He is by far my favorite ob and I've had four different dr.s (I have five children).

I take my children to Livermore Pleasanton Pediatrics. There are several good doctors to choose from and the staff is friendly and curtious. I have friends who go to just about every group between dublin and pleasanton and they are all very happy.
My pediatric dentist (something to think about for later) is Dr. Liaw at Gentle Dental, she is awesome.

A good general practice is Valley Care Health Physicians, we see Dr. Chee and have been fairly happy.

I went to Dr. Karen Carlson (mentioned below by Beth H) for my 1st apt & did not connect with her at all. She was very militant feeling...come to find out she was a Dr. in the military & I didn't feel like she was what I was looking for.
Each time I interacted with the office staff they were also not very friendly & seemed over worked & not accommodating....I wanted more of a friendly, caring female Dr. & staff.

I ultimately decided to switch to Dr Zatuchni (also mentioned in the previous responses you have gotten) out of the same office building, different practice & am very satisfied with her & her staff. I would highly recommend this office if you like to have a more friendly & 'hold your hand' feeling with the benefits of knowledge & professional experience.

It all depends on what you are looking to get out of your Dr. experience. Something to figure out before you make your decision.

I don't know of any OB/GYN's in that area, however, once your baby is born Bayside Pediatrics is awesome! They have offices in your area as well as Livermore and Tracy. We use to live in Livermore and moved to Brentwood 8 years ago. We love them so much we continue to go to them utilizing the Tracy office. We see Drs. Maynard (male) and Moilanen (female). You're looking for an OB? A general practitioner? A ped?

Dr.Santos is a Family Practice.We just loved him.Our insurance changed and he didn't take it.He's at the hospital at Las Positas and Santa Rita.

Bay Valley is where we go now and the N.P. Pat Espicia is wonderful and very thorough.

They also have an office in San Ramon. You can schedule an appt to meet with her and ask questions before picking a doctor. We love her. She's great with our daughter. There are lots of doctors in the office, so if you need a rush appt., there is always somebody there to see your child. And we've never had a problem when we've needed advice after hours.

Sorry I thought you were looking for a pediatrician....oh well....I absolutely love Dr Kerr in Pleasanton. Her office is located right by the mall. Bayside Medical Group ###-###-####. She is very calm (which is what I needed when my son was small and even now!). She wears tie dye shirts and my son likes that! :-)

Okay. My daughter who is 2 and a half has had Dr. Cynthia Quan since birth. She is excellent. She is with Bayside Medical Doctors and has offices in Pleasanton, and in San Ramon. If there is any reason you can't get her Dr.Tosick is also really good, and so is Dr. Uburu. Both of these are with Bayside Pediatrics as well. They are awesome doctors that are attentive, intelligent and caring.
As far as OB/gyns go, I have the BEST hands down. His name is Mark Lollar and he is located in San Ramon next to San Ramon Regional medical center. I was very sick and couldn't hold any food down when I was prego with my daughter. he gave me medicine to hold my food down and is such a great doctor and really cares about his patients. I trust him with my life. I honestly can not say enough good things about him. He is the doctor of a lot of high profile clients such as professional baseball players wives, and elite. He is such a great doctor that when I went into labor with my daughter he had planned on going on vacation but stayed home so he could be there to deliver my baby, and even came and sat with me and talked with me after I delivered my baby for at least an hour. The BEST. !!
