Hi...I have 2 very active boys, ages 3 and 4 1/2. With the winter season coming in, they can't ride their bikes or go to the parks to play....What are some places they can go to burn some energy indoors...please no planet pizza or chuck E cheese!!!
Are there any indoor sports places they can go...? I take advantage of the Little Gym during Parent survial nights....what else?? How about anyplace where I don't have to spend so much money?? LOL!...seriously!

There is a cool place over near Grapevine called Kidz Muze. They have fun stuff to do for about any age: rock walls, basket ball cage, climbing tubes/balls, a building area with blocks, leggos, lincolon logs, a crafting area, a pet hospital, grocery store, etc. They also have a small snack bar. Also, the valley veiw mall has a small play area with a padded playground next to a puppet theater. Most libraries have a story time once a week. Bass Pro shop by Grapevine Mills is a cool place to walk around in. Those are just a few off the top of my head - I'll keep thinking. Good luck!

Try the city of Richardson or Addison homepage for parks and recreation activities. I live in Garland/Mesquite area and our city parks and rec has classess and activities going year round for all ages. It costs about $3 for our yearly id card so that's pretty cheap. Each class is also a small fee. For example, in January my 20 month old and I will be taking a music/dance class that is parent and child for $25. It meets each Monday for an hour, for four sessions. Thats about $6 per session, we get to go and play with someone elses "toys", run around and get some energy out, and meet some other kids and parents. Its pretty cheap per session for both of us to get out and play together! I signed us up for the same reason you're looking for activities--she has A LOT of energy and we have a tiny house! =) good luck and happy holidays!

Pump it up on Forest Lane has a day that they are open for individuals to come in. Also, Galleria and Willow Bend have indoor play areas. Then there is always the famous giant brick planter outside of NM that we all group up climbing up and sliding down for hours and they have the turtles and ducks too. Chik Filay on Central has an excellent indoor play area and it's really clean.
