Pixar Cars Sheet Set That Is SOFT??

Do you have one for your child that you like and are SOFT? The ones I feel at Target are so rough but my son loves cars and I'd love to decorate his room with a cars theme. There are some microfiber ones online but since i can't feel them, I'm wary to get them. Most people seem to love it but some say the fabric is slippery.... anyway, is there a set that you really like? if so, can you send me a link to it? thanks!!

What can I do next?

Most of the sheets at walmart/target feel rough, but if you take them and wash them about 3 times they really soften up.

I think all sheets are rough until they are washed a couple times with fabric softener.

I think microfiber is microfiber. I don't know if there really are 'qualities' that vary with microfiber. So feel the microfiber at the store, it should feel the same with what you buy online. The thing I don't like about microfiber is that it picks up a lot of lint/dust. I guess that's why they make a lot of cleaning cloths with them. But sheets? Eh I don't think I'd buy them. How about you get the 'rough' sheets, see if they soften up after a few washings -OR- get a solid color (Red, navy blue) soft sheet that you like, then get a CARS quilt (rough, but oh well) or go to the fabric store and get CARS material. They have a super-soft fleece I think it is that has cars. Maybe make a winter blanket or a pillow case out of that. Target had CARS pillows in their kid's decor aisle today I saw. In other words, maybe you could accessorize with CARS but actually buy the sheets that are solid color.

Are they a mix of cotton /Poly? It will take a few washings to get them to soften up.. If they are 100% cotton they will be soft after 1 washing.. The polyester is what holds the colors onto the fabric.

FYI, Please never use fabric softener on any fabrics. It coats the fabrics (on terry cloth, it actually makes them less absorbent) and they will wear out faster.

there are sheets that are like t-shirt material. (also called jersey knit sheets).
I have these for my daughter.
Got it from Ross stores.
It is soft.

The microfiber ones, are soft.
Microfiber sheets, are not like, microfiber cleaning cloths. Different weave and texture all together.
Make sure whatever you buy, is 100% cotton.
100% cotton, is the softest.
AND the 'thread count' will also make sheets softer or not.
The higher the thread count, the softer... and will get softer with washings.

Some sheets are a "satin" texture. These are more 'slippery.'
Think about it like satin pillow cases.

Any sheets, that are a mix of cotton and Polyester, will be stiffer and not as soft.
100% cotton, is the best.

My husband's aunt got our son a set at Sears quite a few years ago (that was Cars, round 1 haha) they were gray and very nice sheets. Wish you lived around the corner because they have now been deemed "uncool" in my house--I would love to give them to you!
