I am researching double strollers. I think we are going to get the Phil and Ted stroller as it seems to best suit our needs but they are so expensive. I have tried to find a used one on Craigslist or Ebay but they go so fast and are offered so infrequently. for those who have one, would you recommend it even at full price? Any tips on how to find one at a discount?

Yes, it is pricey and yes, it is worth it. We love ours, it's such a great design. And, I learned that if you spend less money on a product that doesn't work easily or conveniently, you'll regret it and end up buying something more expensive in the long run. We got our Phil & Ted's e3 buggy from babycenter.com when they were having a 10% off sale. I believe we also got free shipping. And the best part about the company was that I had ordered a green one, thinking that it was a nice, neutral shade and when it arrived it was neon and I was so disappointed. They let me ship it back and order a gray one instead, all for free.

Congrats on your new baby! Good luck with two, I can hardly keep up with mine :)

We have owned our Phil & Teds for 2 months now. I was very hesitant because of the high cost. Now, I have to say that it is my favorite posession and worth every penny. I would have paid double for the ease of use and well-thought design. We use it every day, more than our car, so we get our money out of it!

i love ours too, we use it constantly for my 1 and 4 year olds. My only suggestion would be to buy a floor model. I got mine at The right Start in naperville that way.

We LOVE our Phil & Teds too! We got the new VIBE version and it is soooo comfy for our little boy. We actually got it because the other stroller we had was getting to small and wasnt good all terrain for long walks. We plan to have a second child sometime in the near future so we are excited to get the second seat and use the additional features. For now, it is PERFECT for everything, walking, running errands, and it is also great for bringing to other peoples houses as it works for a place to feed him, and sleep him if need be. It was worth every penny!! My husband was VERY hesitant to spend the money and even he admits it is worth it!

They even make a cup holder and snack tray for it, which will make it even more useful!

Some people complain about the folding, but I have found this to be the easiest stroller by far to fold. It can be a little tricky to lock - but it does lock (we were told it didnt). Once you get the hang of it, everything they designed on this stroller is really for ease of use.

We actually purchased ours at the new Buy Buy Baby in Lombard, they take the 20% off coupons for Bed Bath & Beyond, so even with the tax it was less than I found it anywhere else. Online was our next choice, but we couldnt wait to use it!!!

Go get it!! Im sure you deserve it!!! Right?!

We LOVE our Phil and Teds!! It is definitely worth paying full price. We bought ours at www.albeebaby.com. We found the store when we were living in NYC. No shipping and NO TAX!! Plus we had it within 3 days. Our babies are 15mos apart, 19mos & 4mos now. Some things we love about the stroller are that it fits everywhere, no need to worry about width, it's all-terrain & it adjusts to your needs. Feel free to ask me any questions. There are a couple little things that annoy me, but you'll have that with any stroller. The pros far out weigh any cons (not many). On a side note, I highly recommend a sling or another soft carrier. We have a Hotsling and a Pikkolo by Catbird Baby. The baby is strapped to one of us most of the time, good for the baby and you will need two free hands chasing a toddler! Works great at the park too.
Hope this helps!
