Hi Mamas,
We've recently moved to the Seattle area and have a 2 year old daughter and another little girl on the way in October. We're currently seeking a pediatrician that practices with a more holistic/natural approach and were wondering if anyone out there has someone they could recommend to us that would fit that description. Any suggestions are welcome!
Many thanks!!

I recommend Dr. Carol Doroshow at the Kids Clinic in Shoreline. She is a board-certified pediatrician who also utilizes botany, homeopathy & acupuncture.

I second the recommendation of Wallingford Pediatrics. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful and in my experience they really follow the parents lead when it comes to how you want to treat things.

C.,

My husband, daughter (5 months) and I see Dr. Alison Kniesel at One Sky Wellness http://www.oneskywellness.com/. She is a family doc with a holistic approach. The clinic has naturopaths, an acupuncturist, a chiropractor, a massage therapist and midwives so we are often offered multiple avenues for any medical issue. Dr. Kniesel is very supportive of us as we navigate the vaccine issue and is willing to do whatever we decide. We switched the baby because our first doc seemed very judgmental and unwilling to support any alternatives to the CDC schedule. The clinic is in the Seattle Healing Arts building by the Whole Foods on 64th and Roosevelt.

I'm from Portland as well. Welcome to Seattle!

We take our son to Wallingford Pediatrics. They are fantastic and very much have a holistic approach. The main doctor is Dr Springer, who is wonderful. They also have a great nurse, Betsy, who is also a lactation consultant.

Hi. I just had a meet-and-greet with Carol Doroshow at the Kids Clinic last week. She sounds like exactly what you are looking for. Good luck :-)

P.S. I tried to get in to see Dr. Springer at Wallingford Pediatrics but was told that he is not accepting any new patients.
