Party Ideas for 12 Year Old Boy

Hi Mamas - I need some ideas on a birthday party for my soon to be 11 year old boy. We live in the West Plano area so that should give you an idea of places that might be near us. If it's really cool, I'm willing to drive though. A sleepover is fun but what could they do that's different?

Hello D.,

if you're willing to pay a pretty penny... how about the great wolf lodge? Good luck! I'm trying to plan for my soon to be 9 year-old boy too! ~C.~

If your son is into sports, what about a football party(his favorite team) with a few of his friends?

Barbecue in the backyard/park(game day menu)

It may be easier to ask him what he wants to do and you can take it from there.

Check out "Amazing Jake's"? It's at the Collin Creek Mall there in Plano off of 75. Lots of options!

You could try Main event...They have laser tag parties. I had gone to one as a 'team building' thing at work a couple of years ago and I have to admit it was a blast. They also have arcade games, air hockey, bowling, etc their so Im sure they have a bunch of packages.
Have fun!

Jakes in Collin Creek Mall looks pretty cool. Has upstairs and downstairs and you get to choose your package. Soooooo much to do! Miniature golf, bowling, go carts, bumper cars, etc...go to website. May be Jakes.com or Amazing Jakes.com...not sure, but great place. Kat

The Frisco Athletic Center is brand new and has an area called The Zone that can be rented out. They have a ping pong table, pool table, bean bag chairs, music, tv's, etc. It can be combined with a pool party. Another fun idea for a sleepover, is to set up a tent in the backyard. Have smores and hotdogs (we just did it over the grill) and a scavenger hunt. You can get good scavenger lists online, they have nature ones, or the kind where you go house to house. The name of the camp can be Camp John (or whatever his name is). Also, Whirlyball in Plano is always fun. Good luck!

Hi, I really LOVE Gatti Town its great for kids that are a little older. Also, The zone has bounce house and lazer tag for the older ones!

If you need party favors or custom invitations let me know!

My son just had his 13th party at Amazing Jakes. It is attached to Collin Creek Mall. Pizza buffet is offered to each child and adult. Good variety of activies.
