Hello have you ever heard of oriental trading? They are wonderful and have a ton of party favors and themes. We just did jungle for my 2 yr. old party, we got safari hats (from target.com) but the rest from orientaltrading.com. They have monkey pinatas and animal candy, pin the tail on the monkey and much more.

We've gotten things at Michaels and Hobby Lobby. Walmart and Target also have a selection of things. Recently I was at Mardel's and their selection seemed nice. Maybe a little more expensive, but also looked like they might last a bit longer. What I like about the crafty things is that for the same money I can get a party favor and an activity. The kids can take home whatever they painted, etc. Worked well for our son, even at 3.

Oriental Trading Catalog has a bunch of cheap stuff for party favors. You can get prizes for all ages and they are not to expensive so you don't feel bad if they don't last very long. You can do theme parties and get all the supplies.

I love Michael's! Since age 3 of all three of my daughters, it's fun to go there and let them pick out the favors. We always pick out a dollar item...there are so many dollar crafts, etc. We get each child one (or even the dollar section at Target, but I like Michael's better because it's something the children can do rather than just play with a few minutes then lose interest shortly after). It turns out we spend a LOT less money on favors which can get rediculous. We ALWAYS wrap them so the children each have their own little gift, which they love...children LOVE unwrapping gifts! I'm not big on the dollar store because the things there are so cheaply made from the toy section...although often they will have puzzles and something great...it's just that I'm pretty much garunteed to find something at Michael's. Have fun!
