Party Favor Ideas for Five Yr Old Diva!
Hi all,
I need help with party favors for a lil diva. I throwing a b-day at the park with my cousin. She is doing the party favors for the boys since it's her son is turning 5 also. Last year with we did the party at itz. The party favors include a cd b-day girl favorite kiddy tunes, a portrait card of the lil diva. For the girls they had american girl lipgloss, lotion, and glitter (Bath and Body works). I don't really have a theme for this year's party. The cake will be a two layer bratz cake. Bratz will not be the theme of the party. We are expecting 25-30 girls ranging from 2 thru 12. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
So What Happened?™
Hi all,
Thanks for all of the great suggestions. I decided to purchase goblets from celebrity expression. I'm going to personalize the cups with my daughter's name and her birthday. I plan to fill the cup with girly stuff, sticker, lip gloss, jewelry..etc.

I always go for bath pampering. Bubbles, scrubbies, bath pillows etc. Walmart has a great selection. Also I liked the idea of summer preps....how about some diva sunglasses or visors? Hair clips or bands are always useful.
Have fun!

Hey Lakita
I am always in Academy. I found they have an .88 section with all sorts of goodies for kids of all ages, M or F. You could give that a try. Hobby Lobby also carries inexpensive small craft kits. You could do jewelry kits for older girls and auto model kits for the boys, (for the older ones anyways)and you could get the foam self stick stuff for the younger ones! Party ideas are so hard to figure these days since most kids are so much more mature than when we were young. Another idea that you can't go wrong on is a movie pass for the less expensive theaters. Like Tomball Theater is always $3.50. They do have gift books though that average about $2.00 per child. I don't know what your budget is so it is hard to tell you much more. Happy Birthday to the little ones and best of luck to you!! Blessings, B. (www.momsNcharge.com) A website to enrich your family's health and you could make a little extra cash too!!

The Barton Creek Mall has a store called Libby Lu. IT'S PERFECT for little DIVAS!!! They do birthday parties. The girls can dress up like rock stars and such and they gals at the store do the makeup and accessories for the girls. You should really check it out. They can "make" their own make-up and perfume.

Target has a great dollar section with lots of girly things and definitely check orientltrading.com for glitter tattoos. They have several different styles to choose from. If you don't have time for delivery and are in San Antonio go over to Amols over on S. Flores, just south of downtown., They carry a lot of the oriental trading merchandise including the girly tattoos, fabulous balloons, boas, fans, bubbles and anything else you can think of for all sorts of party themes. Good luck.

Buy cheap jewelry, like the beads thrown at madri graw. I just had some on a table and my grandkids loved it. They had so much fun with wearing it. Buy or make little purses and put those necklaces in them. You said age 2-12, even the 2 yr old will love it. At the dollar stores you can buy sometimes 2 boa's for $1.00 give one to each girl as they come in. Not sure about boys.

L.,
I just purchased a Klutz book at Michaels called "Make your own twinkly Tiaras." In the spiral bound book you get 3 tiaras and everything else you'd need to decorate them. You wouldn't need to buy the book, just do it yourself. You could make, in advance, several tiaras made out of thick paperboard and let the girls decorate them with jewels, stickers, sequins, etc. It would be a craft that will keep them busy for a while and it would be a "lovely" party favor that they can keep and enjoy another time.
Have fun,
D.

In this be sure to keep in mind little girls sometime swollow things so you have to be sure anything you do is totally non toxic and not easy to choke on.. Personally I would go to a dollar world and get little purses buy a few $1 boa's and line the top of the little purse, then add each of them a brush and perhaps some lip balm. The Bling can be on the purse party favors in the purse. You can buy little lip balms and hand lotion at any Dollar Store/Family Dollar/Dollar World/Dollar Tree usualy 4 for $1.... Not sure what your budget is but if you have a little to spend these same stores also offer up little crowns that come with gloves for a dollar.. Just a thought.. Hope this helps.. B. Mother of 3 grandmother of 7 little girls 3 little boys (saw where someone advised bath bombs - my brother was the official massage theropist for The Texas Wildcatter Hockey team and he started his own line of Bath Supplies--You can get the balms (even in little girls scents like bubble gum) for less than 4 dollars a pack I think there are 4 to a pack-- if you are interested let me know and I will put the 2 of you in contact).
