Overnight Toddler Diaper Solutions

I used the Huggies overnights for my first child and they worked fine. With my second child, now 2.5 also..... I do not use a overnight diaper. What we do, is this... she started toilet training, while it isnt going so well, just before bed, we do have her sit on the toilet and have her empty her bladder. So just by not having that extra urine in her during the night, her diapers dont get too full by morning ....... Perhaps try sitting him on the toilet before bed if you dont already, and also limit his drinks after 5pm. Good luck

Try Pull-Ups (Night Time ones). Also, Good Nights brand. Both work well with my son and we no longer have leaks at night.

I use the pampers baby dry also & they are the only diaper i have used that i never have a problem with leaks or soaking through

I finally discovered that you can still find the Huggies Overnights at Stop & Shop and at Babies 'R Us. I don't know if you have one near you, but it might be worth checkign into.

I have a 2 1/2 year old boy as well and for a while he was waking up with a wet bed/pajamas. So, we bought the next size up (size 6) in Pampers Cruisers just for nighttime. It worked....we haven't had a wed bed since! Good luck.

i had the same problem with my daughter leaking through diapers when she was younger at night. you could try the nighttime pullups or even goodnights. they work great

Babies R us always carries Huggies Overnights...starting at size 3.

For my 18 month old I use Huggies overnights which have worked great! I found them at Walmart...and they also have them at a discounted rate at Diapers.com (last I checked they did free shipping). For my 4 and 5 year olds who are still not ready I use Goodnights pullups that I have found at BJ's for not too much.

Hi Stop and Shop sells Diaper Doublers. They sort of look like big maxi pads and you just put them in the diaper and it helps.

Babies R Us carries both the Huggies Overnights and the diaper Doublers. I know that they run out of overnights sometimes so I find them at Walmart or at Diapers.com.

They still have Diaper Doublers at Stop and Shop in Raynham/Taunton anyway. If you still cannot find them anywhere near you why don't you just use maxi pads? Use them the same way you did the duos. I have also tried the rubber pants you use for cloth diapers and that has helped too!

I use the Huggies Overnights as well, and they are hard to find. Ocassionally they'll have them in the grocery store, but your best bet for finding them (and the diaper duos)is at Babies R Us. If all else fails you can try putting a pair of rubber pants over the diaper.

I agree with the limiting liquids and trying to have him empty bladder before bed (we had same problem with my son at same age and this routine helped). I've had success with going up a diaper size at night (if he's not already there) and I use Pampers "Baby Dry" brand at night and a cheaper diaper during the day. The Pampers are the only brand he doesn't soak through.

Huggies or pullups make ones called 'goodnights'. they are the only ones that work here. i can't the old overnights anymore either.

If you have a BJ's membership, they have Pampers Ultra Absorbancy diapers, they are like magic! My son who is 15 months old, has a very active bladder at night and he doesn't leak through. We had been using a cloth diaper insert in his regular diapers for months until I tried the Pampers. I hopefully never have to go back. Good luck! BTW, I can only find them at BJ's.

Have you tried luvs? When my son kept waking up wet, I used luvs in the next size up from what he was in during the day. It worked great! After he kept wetting through those, I tried huggies overnight pullups, and that completely solved the problem. He still uses them at night at age 3 1/2. Hope this helps!

I've had trouble finding the overnights as well. I think more of us moms used them then the stores realize! Keep trying Target and Walmart. They seem the most likely to have them. I usually buy two when I find them because I'm not sure if I'll find them again. My son is usually not soaked with a Huggies overnight, but on occasion, it overflows.

I used to have to take my son to the potty every night before I went to bed. I would have him go before he went to bed then carry him to the potty again before I went to bed. He used to sleep through cause he is such a sound sleeper but it worked. Even now he will sometimes get up in the middle of the night and sleep walk to the bathroom and not even be awake. If your son is not potty trained I suggest changing him in the middle of the night or before you go to bed. hope these work for ya.

I used to buy cheap, generic store-brand diapers one size smaller than the current size my daughter was wearing - cut the sides off and put it inside the "good" diaper. It was like having 2 diapers on, and it usually got her through the night. Careful cutting though, if you go too far, you open up a hole for all the "stuffing" to come out. Which diaper fits your child's body best is what you should use on the outside. For my oldest, only the most expensive version of Pampers (they don't even make this version any more) would fit. For my youngest - only one really cheap store-brand fit her. So just experiment with size and shape.

I would try the next size up of his daytime diapers, if you haven't already. Also, some grocery stores sell diaper doublers that you can put in for extra absorbency.
