New Diagnosis . . . Cervical Cancer, Can You Help?

My niece was just diagnosed with cervical cancer. She has a consult scheduled later in May to discuss options. If you have experienced this and can provide any insight, info, etc. I would greatly appreciate it. She is only 21 and it is a new experience for our entire family.

What can I do next?

I'm really sorry to hear this, L....especially when so young. It will be very important for your niece to work on her immune system. I have a list of things she could do on my website: http://www.healthyhabits.ws/holistic-health.htm

I also recommend seeking care from holistic doctors (perhaps a Naturopath). I have a list of resources on my website as well.

Best wishes to you and your niece.

L., have your niece listen to Klove radio 105.5
If she is not religious tell her to do it anyway. :-)
She has nothing to lose! I am sure she no doubt is looking at life in a different way now. God still works miracles for his people when they seek him. And your niece and your family are in my prayers for healing, comfort and loving embrace.

On a health note I can help as well! It is very important to change your home to a non-toxic environment and I want to show you how to do this very cost effectively. Please let me know if I can help. Its been a real blessing to my family.

Hang in there and please listen to klove :-)

Dear L. S,

My sister had cervical cancer and survived by having a hysterectomy and the removal of her lymph nodes up her sternum. She had no chemo or radiation, but concentrated on nutrition, which the doctors think is how she survived. I don't know the kind of cervical cancer your niece has, but my sister had the most agressive form which only 5% of women contract. Hopefully, your niece has a better diagnosis. Being only 21, I'm sure a hysterectomy would be the last resort. However, another thing to consider during and after treatment is nutrition.
Strengthening the immune system is imperative. John Hopkins Cancer Prevention Tips include starving cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply such as sugar. Cancer feeds on mucus, also. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy (organic and non GMO) soy milk cancer cells are being starved. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. This is one reason why my hsuband and I purhcased a Juice Plus Franchise. It's impossible to get 9-13 servings of fruits and vegetables into us and our kids everyday, but we bridge the gap with taking Juice Plus. It is 17 fruits and vegetables and whole grains in capsule, chewable, or gummy form. Our doctor told us it is the best way to prevent cancer. Thousands of doctors, nutritionists, and other health professionals recommend Juice Plus because of the research by universities and hospitals, with the amazing results in peer reviewed medical journals. It's powerful whole food nutrition that our bodies were made to work with instead of fractuated and isolated vitamin supplements. I have a business listing on Mamasource with a member perk. Check it out along with my website at www.kguestsharesjuiceplus.com. Best wishes to your family and your niece.

L.,

I am sorry to that your niece and family are having to deal with this. You can research Cervical Cancer at NIH.gov. The best advice I can give, is to understand the disease and the treatments options. Knowledge is power. I would recommend that she have several (at least three) consults with GYN Oncologist. I personally would see Dr. Matthew Borst. He is wonderful. His office is at 1300 N 12th St Ste 614, Phoenix AZ 85006-2850

Best of luck to your niece.

Hi,

I would recommend the Arizona Cancer Center if the location works for you. They can be a resource for care and information. Here is a another great source, http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/types/cervical

Good luck!
