Hi - just wondering if anyone else has had any nerve issues and what they have done for it. I went to doctor about a month ago and they provided a belly belt to wear. It was helping initially but now the pain is getting much worse - hurts when I cough, someone touches it or even clothes rubbing against it. I've tried tylenol and heating pad (per doctor) - nothing is helping...I see the doctor again on Monday
Suggestions?
Thanks!

Have you tried the chiropractor?

We've had luck with that for almost every kind of ailment.... Aches and pains while I was pregnant. Sharp lower right back pain at 4 1/2 months pregnant. (Fixed it in 2 visits!!! Reg. doc didn't know what to do except gave me morphine that made me so sick my husband had to carry me! And the doc didn't even tell me that's what he was giving me because I would have NEVER taken it being pregnant!)

And then with the kids the chiropractor has helped with ear infections, colic, stuffy noses, coughs, not sleeping through the night, etc. That is usually our first stop before the reg. doc. --We usually don't end up even going to the regular doc because the chiropractor fixes the problem......--

Good luck!

I had a pinched nerve because one of my ribs didn't shift over. My OB referred me to a physical therapist who did massage (soooo nice and got to lay on belly with special pad) and gave me some exercise to do. Your pain may be different, but thought I throw it our there. I also saw my chiropractor for most of my pregnancy which helped.

I got it so bad during the last trimester- I remember having to get down on all fours and crawl around my house!

I went to Kim Hart at Adaggio therapies in Minneapolis. She does Mayan abdominal massage (and some other stuff I think). It was so incredibly helpful. After one session I was fine for about a month and a half, then I started getting the pain back, I went again, and was fine for the last month of pregnancy. She has trained with a traditional medicine woman in Bolivia, and knows a ton about the pregnant body. If you are near Mpls - I highly recommend her. Otherwise Chiropractic or cranial sacral could help too.

Good luck!
