Needing Blinds for New Home

Hi!
We just bought a new home in Frisco and need wood blinds and plantation shutters installed. Does anyone recommend a company they have used? Any companies to avoid? I am looking for great quality and a great price. Thanks!

We used Magnolia shutters and were very pleased with them. They are located at Preston and HWY 121.

Shirley at Home Depot took good care of us. Or the Home Depot nearest you. They have great specials and I know we got a great deal...very happy with them. :>)

JCPenney has a Made to Measure and Custom Decorating design center at the store. It really is a great service and with the specials and coupons, you can get a great deal.

J.,
Blind Impressions is the best.
Reasonable and great service.
Gary is the owner.

I have used 3 Day Blinds. Good price and quick turn around.

We built our home in 2000 and needed about 35 blinds. My husband is good at doing things around the house. He did all the measuring, we went to Home Depot and special ordered all the blinds. The brand is Levelor and we've had no issues whatsoever with them. Some of the blinds had to be special cut and everything was right the first time.

Now, you do have to know what you are doing and be willing to put in some sweat equity. We paid around $3500 for everything (we have some special sized and cut windows and some of the blinds were pricey) and my hubby did all the installing, etc. The blinds were delivered to us about 2 weeks after our order.

I'd order through Home Depot again if I needed to do this all over. It was easy and I know I saved money by hubby doing the install and not paying the extra markup for someone coming to my house to measure, bring samples, etc.

Good luck

I second Blind Impressions. We worked with Gary and couldn't be happier. We wanted the 2.5 inch blinds which were more expensive than the standard 2 inch and when Gary went to price them, he could receive them at a discount and passed the savings on to us. In the end, we paid almost the same as if we'd gone with the 2". We also had an issue with one of the blinds several months after our purchase / install and Gary came right out and fixed it free of charge. He definately wants happy customers. He'll come out and consult with you (he'll measure your windows, show you his options & provide you a quote) free of charge.
