We are taking our 2 year old to La Fluers in Tampa. They offer gymnastics, which we have been going to for over a year, and swimming lessons. The lessons are indoors in a HEATED pool. We are doing private lessons for 8 sessions and it is around $130. Or they offer group classes which are less. La Fleurs is on Linebaugh and Lynn-Anderson

Are you near a YMCA? You don't have to be a member, although the prices are cheaper that way. Also, you can go to www.myflorida.com and follow the links to the city of Tampa Parks and Recreation. This will tell you where all the other pools are and their schedules. My 2 1/2 daughter will be going to Seal Swim School as well. They have 3 locations and, although it's much pricier, I want her to learn how to swim so she'll be safer. Their program is comprehensive as apposed to splashing around and chasing toys.

My 14 mth old daughter just is in swimkids usa I love them.

She is learning so quick and I feel the cost is not too bad for the attention she gets.

Try ISR...infant swim research or seal swimming school....they guarantee your child/infant will be swimming. I have friends that used both of these.

In Temple Terrace, there is are two ladies who do swim lessons in their home. They've been doing it for about fifteen years and it's a great system. My son went at 20 months and was swimming after two weeks. It's a two week session, every night M-F. It costs $150 for the two weeks, but your daughter will be swimming at the end of it & be able to safely reach the edge if she falls in to the pool.
Call Theresa Hackney at ###-###-#### or e-mail her at ____@____.com and she can send you a flyer.
It's an awesome program and they are very, very capable nice people. My 18 month old daughter will be attending in June.
