Need Recommendations for a Good Wheat Grinder

I love the WonderMill (used to be called the Whisper Mill). It was recommended to me by someone who is bread and baking queen... she does enrichment night classes on how to bake bread and how to make all kinds of things with wheat. I am happy I took her recommendation, and their customer service is great if you have any issues. Good luck!

The BlendTec wheat grinder is the best electric grinder I know of. I just replaced my 26-year-old K-Tec (successor to BlendTec, but same grinder) mill at Christmas even though it was still grinding wheat with a new BlendTec grinder. They are fast, easy to use, do minimal damage to gluten as compared with other types of mills, and are relatively easy to clean. Go to the BlendTec website and/or to their manufacturing plant in the industrial park west of Geneva Road on University Parkway. Note: I have made our bread every week for 26 years.

I recommend getting a vitamix. I purchased an older one from an estate sale and I just love it. It's multi purpose and fast. Whenever I make wheat bread, I can grind up my wheat to whatever texture I want. Love it!

The newer ones have a special attachment to use for grinding wheat. The older ones don't need the attachment.

My mother gave me an electric Grain Mill. It's about the size of a coffee grinder, and has different settings for how fine you want the grain ground. It works really well and the canister is dishwasher safe...very easy to use. When I was nannying, we used it everyday because all-purpose flour was not allowed in that house. I believe it is called the Regal Kitchen Pro Grain Mill.

Hi C., this is A.. I signed onto this website b/c of you, and what do you know -- yours is one of the first questions I see and actually have a solution for. The wheat grinder I have (and love) is called a Whisper Mill. I know they can be pricey, but we bought ours on Ebay and have loved it. I use it to grind my own wheat every week and make bread. Let me know if you have any other questions about it. Your welcome to borrow it and try it out.

I have the NutriMill, and I really love it! It's fast, and just wipe it out when you're done. I use it all the time, and it makes great flour.
