Need Pregnant Halloween Costume Ideas

With my 5 year old I went as a cow and with my 2 year old I dressed as a nun..

The nun is not meant to offend anyone - I am catholic, but my best friend and i were pregnant at same time and thought it was cute - and we got lots of chuckles. Please noone be offended.

Last Halloween I made an oven out of a white box, some black duck tape for trim, aluminum foil for burners and knobs, and black pipe cleaner for the burner coils. Then I glued a picture of a bun on the front to indicate a "bun in the oven." It was SO cute! I can email you pictures if you want. You can also purchase this costume at Party City with matching costume (an apron and bakers cap) for your husband. It was just cheaper for me to make it.

If she has a significant other going, they could dress like a milk man and she can dress like a housewife...Have fun!

What about a basketball player and paint the part of the shirt at her belly as the ball?

When I was pregnant I dressed up as Ragadey Anne. It was really cute. The dress kind of fru frued over my belly.

When I was pregnant with my son we had a Halloween party to attend and I dressed up as a witch. I went to Wal-Mart and bought the boots that go to right below your knees. I was able to a witch costume at a Halloweeen store. It came with the dress and the hat. I actually got a lot of compliments on my costume.

I'd say it depends on how pregnant she looks. I carried really small, so "normal" costumes probably would have worked fine. But if she's big, she might want to go with the pregnant theme - maybe dress as a pea-pod with her belly as the pea? or dress as an oven with a "bun" on her belly? If there's a way to find a list of the phrases people say when they mean pregnant, that might inspire her. Should be fun!
