Hello, I am moving out to Oceanside CA and would love a referal if anyone has or knows of a good male pediatrician. My son is 4 and LOVES his current doctor and is sad about leaving him. Thanks for any info, I am willing to drive a ways also.

I've currently had Dr. Ronald Woerpel as my kids pediatrician, and he was just great! He is within the Sharp Mission Park Med. Group of doctors in Oceanside, on Waring Way/Dr. (something like that!). He really was great, the kids loved him and I loved the fact that he never seemed to busy to devote just the perfect amount of time to us. He always pulled up a chair and sat down to talk with each of my children.

Good luck finding a doctor that fits your needs!

My boys (ages 3 and 2) go to Pediatric Medical Associates ###-###-####; 2067 Vista Way #180 (very close to Tri-City Hospital). They have 4 doctors, my boys see Dr. Veronica Naudin and she is my favorite. I am extremely conservative when it comes to medicine and she puts up with us, gives us her opinions but doesn't pressure me (like with vaccinations). I also really like Dr. Ng (another female). When we have had to consider antibiotics, they do not insist but gently try to help me make a wise decision. They have 2 male doctors, Dr. Castro and Dr. Ambo, that we have only seen for "emergencies" when we couldn't see our doctor, so I don't know them well enough to recommend them. I know you want a male doctor, but I thought I would go ahead and tell you about the female doctors I love. I really like this practice because there is always a doctor on call (24 hours) that I can talk to and they have weekend hours for emergencies. That came in handy recently when my 2 year old had a severe allergic reaction. We were in the office on Friday, Saturday and Sunday because I was so worried about the symptoms, and I am so glad I was able to go into the doctors' office on the weekend rather than going to an emergency room or urgent care. Hope this is of some help, and good luck finding a doctor you like!

They have several Docs both male and female and will see you as late as 7 at night and on weekends if your child is sick.

I guess it depends on which isurance you have but we have Kaiser and love Dr. Monte Klaudt with KAiser in the new Oceanside office. He's very gentle and caring and takes his time.

We love our pediatrician. Her name is Lori Taylor. She is with El Camino Pediatrics on El Camino Real in North Encinitas. We have also seen several of the other doctors in the practice group and like them all.
